LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Chadds Ford Township

UPDATE: This review was from Saturday. It is now Wednesday and one charge has been finalized and I still have a second $70 charge pending. Not one person has contacted me. I will be disputing the original charge with my bank and if the second one goes through ill be doing the same.

I placed an order on the website for pick up at 7:50. The first problem was that it went through and charged me in full twice just about $70. I go to the restaurant head inside at 7:45, wait in line for about 10 minutes after the take out person is obviously overwhelmed and they were clearly having issues as both people in front of me had issues with Apple Pay (one person who’s order went through but they had no record and the other who for whatever reason the Apple Pay just wouldn’t work. My issue also Apple Pay) I step up and let the take out person know my name she confirms the order says it’s not ready yet. At that point I asked about the double charge she didn’t listen and just said yeah it’ll be 10-15 minutes. I just sat down and didn’t even bring it up figuring I’ll wait until they bring the order. The next person also has an issue with Apple Pay go figure but the manager Courtney couldn’t be bothered to help anyone just kept running around being seemingly unproductive while attempting to look busy, she kept telling the first person while hollering across the packed restaurant “I don’t know I don’t have you in my system” “never had this happen” “gonna have to call heiko?” Literally must’ve said it 10x all while not helping anyone and a take out person who clearly needs help. A bartender even walks around and made the comment “geez sorry long line”. My order finally comes up 25 minutes past my promised time of 7:50, not one thank you for your patience or sorry for the wait. I then ask again about being double charged the girl looks at me and says “yeah” to which I explain that I’m getting frustrated and understand it’s busy but I’d like someone to look into that and you can even call later if you’re busy just bringing it to your attention now. (Mind you I called the restaurant immediately after placing the online order to let them know the charge went through in full twice and to ensure the order only gets made once. I was put on hold then someone else picked up and had me explain myself again and was rude not acknowledging the double charge just saying we only have one order.) the takeout person now calls her manager by screaming her name from the take out stand to the host stand and the manager hollering right back. The manager Courtney came over and asked what was going on I explained I was charged twice and she said in a snarky tone yeah you were charged a penny and then the total the penny will fall off. I advised I was not charged a penny I was charged in full and said I could show her and proceeded to show her on my phone. She first said oh yeah it’s pending it should fall off, then told me this is normal I said no it’s not I have ordered here before and she then again tried to tell me some other thing it felt like she just wanted me to buy whatever she was saying so I would leave and she could go back to chatting at the host stand while the take out person needs help. she was unprofessional and didn’t resolve my problem. I told her to have a good night and left while she proceeded to keep talking. I won’t be back. Ordered kids meals for my girls 5th birthday and had a very late very crappy experience. Get home to find the spicy bites have little to no sauce on them, the tonion is cold, the butter sauce in the salmon was put in a container that had no lid and spilled everywhere, there was no cinnamon or butter for the sweet potato in that meal, no butter for bread. Kids meals steaks were dripping with grease. Overall waste of money and truly a disappointing experience in...

update Today was a very special day. The name change for the wife came through after an agonizing wait and when the outcome arrived, she suggested we have a victory dinner. I asked where she wanted to go and suggested here.

When we arrived at roughly dinner time, there was no wait and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was Diana and she's the best that I've seen in a very long time. Had our food out quickly and very attentive. The lady of our evening ordered the porterhouse and baked potato, I had the salmon shrimp meal. I also had the fire roasted corn and the brussel sprouts. Everything was cooked perfectly! Whoever made the brussel sprouts and corn is amazing.

As we were winding down, my wife was telling Diana that this was a special night, the night of her name change. Next thing we know, she's walking to the wife a parfait and a candle. A birthday to her new existence. We were given two spoons to share.

Thanks to Diana for turning this event into something truly magical. Whatever she's getting paid, give her a raise. Will definitely be returning.

Last weekend was my wife's birthday and after we partook in the Pride festivities in Philadelphia, we went home, rested and the wife wanted to come here. For the record, this restaurant isn't one of our usual places and this was only our second time here. She had a hankering for a nice piece of meat and here we are.

We arrived and there was a wait for a table. Of course a larger party that arrived after us got seated before our party of 2. We were offered the higher tables, but i have a bad hip and couldn't do it.

As for the food? Not bad. The wife ordered herself the NY strip steak with the baked potato and mashed potatoes. I had the Longhorn salmon with salad and Brussels sprouts. She thoroughly enjoyed the steak and enjoyed her baked potato. This is good: the birthday girl should have fun. My meal was kinda eh. I understand that they were trying to close for the night and that they were running out of stuff but wow. Wife asks me why I'm not eating my salad and i showed her. After you get past the good greens, most of the stuff on the bottom were large lettuce stems. The brussel sprouts were amazing and the fish was a tad overcooked.

One thing i will mention that you need from here is the flavored ice teas. The peach is the BEST. Our waitress was a pro and very nice and alert. I didn't catch her name but she needs a raise.

Overall, the wife enjoyed her birthday and that's all that mattered. Would we be returning? Possibly. Main topper of our day was getting a very fresh breadloaf at the beginning...

The service is AWFUL. Don't recommend this place at all. We had a bad experience last time we went there which was around October 2021. We chalked it up to them opening recently and being under a lot of pressure. Decided to give the restaurant another chance last night. Had the same exact problems as we did last year. My 3 year old gets fussy when waiting for food especially when hungry so made a point to order her food FIRST and we waited a ridiculously long time for mac and cheese. I could have went out to the store and made mac and cheese and already have eaten it by the time they finally brought it out. We had to ask TWICE for them to bring it out. The server was unattentive, not on top of it, seemed very indifferent. Didn't ask when we needed refills or asked how our food was. I asked for paper napkins and never received them. She got our orders wrong. I asked for onions and mushrooms on my steak, didn't get it. My friend asked for Brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes and medium well steak. Steak was undercooked for her liking, and she never got the Brussel sprouts or mashed potatoes, instead got a baked potato. Even after asking for the manager the server neglected our table. Very highly unsatisfied and will never go back. If you have children and want their food out first, this is NOT the place to go. Horrible service. Never been anywhere as bad as this place. The server didn't care at all about keeping up on our table and the manager wasn't helpful at all. We also didn't appreciate the hostess' attitude when we asked for a manager since our visit wasn't going well at all. Two separate times months apart and each time we went was awful. Don't go here if you expect quick service or a server who's going to actually take care...
