Purchased a beautiful enhancer band on 4/6/25. However, a month later, the engine to our car blew up (bad timing, I know). Went back to the store on 5/11/25 to ask if I can return the ring, since we now can no longer afford the monthly payments. I stated I'd purchase the same exact ring later this year when we can afford it again. They said I could not return it, as it had already just BARELY been 30 days since the purchase, and 30 days is their policy. They did, however, say I can exchange for a cheaper ring, since the time frame for that is 60 days. I even showed them the ring I'd found online that I wanted to exchange for. I called the store back on 5/16/25 to speak to the manager regarding exchanging my ring for the cheaper one I found online, who then told me that exchanges are only for rings of equal or greater value than the original purchase. She seemed to think that the Zales credit card company, Comenity, would be able to help somehow, but I called and spoke to them also with no luck. This has just been the worst experience ever. I've never been to a jewelry store that wouldn't flex a few days on their return policy, even due to financial emergencies. I suggest going to a smaller / family run jewelry store, (like Mountz, they were accommodating!!). These big chains only care about getting their money / commissions. Very, VERY disappointed in the way they care for...
Read moreOn May 16th Friday, my husband and I went to Kay/Zales Jewelers in Chambersburg. My husband insisted on buying me a 25th wedding anniversary ring. When we walked into the store there were two ladies there, Cara approached us and took care of us. She was very friendly and accommodated to what we were looking for, real diamonds not lab grown. We must have been there for over an hour and a half. Cara was great and made us feel comfortable! She went out of her way to show us so many rings. I must have tried on at least ten rings or more. I had a decision to make because prior to coming into Kay/Zales Jewelers we were at another jewelry store in Chambersburg. But after the selection that Kay/Zales Jewelers had, there was no question about it! I found my perfect ring! WOW! Plus, not knowing that my husband had already selected this ring for me online without telling me, before we got to the store. Cara was wonderful! Katie, the other salesperson took my other rings that I had on my hands and cleaned them plus check the prongs, while Cara was sizing my finger for the ring I had chosen. The ring is absolutely gorgeous! It was such a spectacular experience and so exciting! So, if you're ever looking for a ring for your special loved one, we highly recommend, so don't hesitate to go to Kay/Zales Jewelers in Chambersburg and see Cara or Katie! Jeff...
Read moreNew location for both stores which used to be in the Chambersburg Mall. While this one is a bit annoying to get to, it's much more convenient to the rest of the shopping I do. So when I need to get my rings cleaned/inspected, it's not such a hassle (rings are from Zales).
When I went in for my cleaning/inspection, I was immediately greeted by a friendly gentleman. He took my rings and did his thing. They have a cleaning/inspection station right up front.
The store is very bright and very sterile looking. They have plenty of space to walk around and browse. Chairs set up at the engagement ring area, and several areas to ring up customers. As of June 29th, all staff were wearing masks but they did not require customers to wear them.
At this visit, the gentleman did not try to show me other jewelry while I was there, which is how I like it. Of course he asked if there was anything else he could help me with, but no sales pitch. I had that happen once, trying to sell me stuff after the cleaning, and it irritated the heck out of me. I know it's their job, I get it. But that one time it happened they were so pushy!
Glad they re-opened a store in Chambersburg and hope...
