This is a review from someone who has had AT&T a total of 6 years and this store completely ruined my view of the company as a whole. So much so that 6 days after my most recent visit I canceled and opened an account with Verizon. Tim was who helped us and if you’re into snake oil, he’s your guy! He will fast talk you into a business account under the guise of savings (don’t worry if you don’t have a business, he will tell you it doesn’t matter!). The majority of your questions he will tell you it’s nothing for you to worry about. Then when you receive your first bill and it’s astronomically higher than what you were told (and by the way he can’t tell you for sure what it will be) he will say that bill doesn’t matter either. Oh, and somehow one of our lines was switched to only having 1GB of data so it was guaranteed to accrue data overages. The store manager couldn’t tell us what our bill should be either. After paying off my phone AT&T couldn’t unlock my phone for ~5 business days because we were pushed into changing to a business account and it said my line wasn’t 60 days old. And if you ask customer service they can’t tell you why they can’t unlock it (secret is they just want another week to bill you). So if you’re into associates lying to you about rates to get you to commit to a contract so they get commission, and their phones blaring Cardi B while you’re trying to understand what you’re purchasing, and no one being able to give you a definitive answer on anything, AT&T, this store, and especially Tim...
Read moreWent in to ATT in Chambersburg today because my father-in-laws 3G flip phone needed to be upgraded to be able to work with the newer 4-5G network. ATT sent him a new flip phone, that I tried to activate myself with customer service the night before. I had a bad feeling that something wasn't quite right after google searching solutions and having no luck after multiple calls to customer service. At the store today, Juan initially jumped through all of the hoops necessary to get the new phone that was sent to us activated, only to find out that the SIM card for the new phone was "too new" for that phone. He and Manager Jensen made multiple phone calls and even dug through "old" SIM cards trying to find one that would work ... long story short, between Juan and Jensen, who gave us their best effort, we ended up having to switch to a smartphone. They definitely gave us excellent service despite being basically set up to not have a successful transfer from the start! Jensen and Chris then helped us with a quick set up of the new iPhone! We really appreciated giving their best try to get the free phone up and running to begin with! I think a lot of places would not have tried that long, and would have just suggested buying something new to begin with! So thank you guys for...
Read moreThis is my second dealing with the AT&T store (1st time over Christmas when we bought 2 iPhone 11s and received terrible service. We ended up going to Shippensburg to buy them after leaving the store) which was over the phone. My work phone (through Verizon) had failed and our family account was through AT&T. I wanted to add yet another line to our account which would make 6 total. Needless to say, we have a hefty monthly bill. After establishing what I wanted to do, I asked what this would cost me? The girl said she could not tell me. I asked what she meant? She said she could not tell me. I said, I didn't understand. She said, she could not tell me. After a pause, I asked her if she could explain? She hung up on me. I tried to call back and the store line went to a voice mail account that was not set up. I waited about 20 minutes and called back and got a gentlemen this time who informed me that I would need to call AT&T to get this information. I believe he was the manager. I explained what had happened, but he seemed disinterested. I asked who it was and he either did not know or care. There is no sense of customer service at this store. Extremely disappointed. PS - To review, you have to give it at...
