I returned an $40 item of a wrong size that was purchased on credit card and could not be replaced since needed size was not in store. The slip I brought in had been cut and there was no barcode. The sales associate immediately said “we can’t provide a refund just store credit without the barcode.” I asked if there was any other way to confirm sale and she again said “no”. I thought this was an inadequate answer and suggested looking at the date, time on slip with cc# (which I had).She reluctantly did so and guess what? She found. Placed credit on my card and all was successful… except for the sales associate’s attitude which was pretty rude.
