So I got these two bunnies from Rural King on Thursday. Me and my boyfriend were walking in there to get litter for my rabbits. And we stopped and looked at 4 rabbits in this big huge bucket sort of thing with chicken wire and lamps over the top of it so they wouldn't jump out. That's really cruel. They cant even see anything but the ceiling and people staring down on them. Then we asked one of the employees to hold the rabbits he was very nice and helpful. he seemed like a genuine person and knew what he was talking about. He told me that this one specific bunny got out and was lost for a whole week inside Rural King. And a customer found him. For 1) how does it take a week to find a rabbit their main priority should have been to stay late until whenever and searched for him until they went home. 2)That rabbit could have gotten into pesticides or chewed plastic and have an inflamed stomach. 3) What if he got something knocked over on him or had a head injury because of something? 4) your supposed to leave a rabbit with unlimited Timothy hay which was not in there at all. so anyways I chose to get that rabbit because of his special escape story and I decided to buy his brother to because I noticed a huge gash in his eyelid..it looked like one of the other male rabbits n him got into it. ..and I didn't realize till after a day and a half that my new rabbit was having diariah (the one tht got lose in the store his name is Marley his brothers name is Mason) and that he also had about 10 bite marks all along his back and eye. And you can tell none of the Rural King staff took any protocols to even check on them or even take a paper towel with some water on it to care for the wounds because of how they scabbed over. I am beyond pist. I bought a ill rabbit and if i didn't get him he would have died there. So to top it off I called Rural King and told them I wanted to speak to the owner thats been there for years. I told her I really did not appreciate buying a sick rabbit. And told her the problems and bite marks and said ive had rabbits for yrs because i have 2 of my own thats a u year old mini lop and a 1 year old harliquin japanese bunny. And then asked the general manager if she was the same owner who had rabbits and it was. That pist me off even more because she had 2 huge rabbits n a small cage 3x as big as my rabbits that were practically living in that store! Horrible! So all she had to say to me was "mam if ur unsatisfied with your rabbit we"ll get you a new one" I said "no you need to have someone taking care of them properly and I was going off on her i told her I love the rabbit i bought he is so sweet he cuddles and gives kisses he is such a sweetheart. I told the manager to stop using pine bedding because its bad for their respiratory. But when i got him he looked anorexic he was 2 mths old and a 2mth old bunny should wwigh 4 - 4.5 lbs not 2lbs. U cud see his ribcage even with his fur. I saved his life. After 4 days of being with me and my boyfriend. He gained a tiny bit of weight. He is drinking finally on his own. He's jumping a little bit. The sneezing stopped. The diariah stopped. He's eating hay. Im really relieved he made a...
Read moreWas looking for black cowboy boots for me and hiking boots for my son and daughter both teens. The womens cowboy boot section blows.. it used to have a ton of choices so every time my family of 5 needed boots we started there.. now it's only about 1/2 side of 1 isle and maybe 8 choices all brown. I miss their old amazing section..really didn't want to have to drive to Farm and Fleet and Pards. :( My son though did have luck in the clearance section! :)
The guy working in that area almost ran my son over with his cart and he had on so much body spray or cologne that it caused an instant migraine for me and made the isle stink. My son may be 12 but he's not a little guy. At 5 ft 4 he should have definitely seen him, the least he could have done was say excuse me or I'm sorry but just kept going like a bat out of hell with the cart he was using to move stuff.
Saw 3 employees while in the area no one said hi or asked if we needed help. When I went to check out 2 employees were having a personal conversation at the check out and I had to wait till it was over to check out.. normally those 2. minutes wouldn't have bugged me except for all of the above and another customer had ran into my hip with her cart. I have Fibromyalgia and my hips is where a lot of my pain is.. so my head was sweating and my nose started running, I had a migrane and I just wanted to get out of there cause I had to go 2 more places plus my 40...
Read moreI was looking for a particular brand dry dog food online. I was almost out and needed to get more that day. It was listed in stock at Rural King. Once inside the store I found mobilized carts charged and available for use for persons with disabilities. A very hard find in C/U! Then I was immediately assisted by personnel in getting directions. After looking through the other dry dog foods in the isle, I was unable to locate the right size package. And once again, another person was there stocking- he was very friendly and willing to help find what I needed. I was also given directions for the dog toy isle as well. When purchasing items I found two very helpful cashiers willing to inquire about my new furbaby!! Rural King was a really nice place to shop for what I needed and more! The prices were reasonable and the availability of a working motor cart will definitely bring me back to purchase other items! The hospitality of personnel was a very nice change to the frantic employees of other stores. I highly recommend Rural King to everyone who misses the hometown kind of...
