LowCountry Barbershop - Charleston — Local services in Charleston

I was a loyal customer at Lowcountry Barbershop for 5 years. That changed after my most recent visit to them. When my name was called, the barber I was assigned was most likely new, as I had never seen him before. He started by showing me pictures of fades and asked which one I wanted. I told him I didn’t want a fade and showed him a picture of how I usually like my hair done. He told me he understood and that he could do it, but he completely ignored my request and gave me the most unblended and uneven fade I’ve ever seen. The worst part, however, was the face shave. When I told him I wanted one, another barber asked him if he knew how to do one (huge red flag), and he confidently replied yes. However, he didn’t even put shaving cream on my face, and gave me the most uncomfortable face shave ever. Not to mention, the entire process took 2 hours, and my average haircut takes about 30 minutes....

By far one of the worst haircuts I have ever received. I was rushed in and out. It was more of an experience one would expect at a Great Clips. Oh, and the hot towel was tragically bad. It was as if they heated a cheap rough towel found on the bottom shelf of an auto part store then proceeded to "massage" my neck to point it was so red when I walked out it looked as if I had a rash. The hot shave was equally as bad. I suppose it is to much to ask for a Barber in Barber Shop rather than a washed up hair stylist. At least at a Great Clips, you get what you pay for. It really is a shame because the building and atmosphere...

Genuinely bad haircut. I was very specific and polite. I asked her to be careful around the ears and that I specifically did not want whitewalls. She managed to pull that off with one ear, but not the other. She also carved a line into my head. Feathered the front so there are really short hairs sticking out when I style it. 4 on the sides scissor cut the top has never looked so bad. Thank you for messing up my vacation lady. I would go back and demand she fix it if I had time. She wouldnt even let me watch her cut my hair. You do this for a living and youre not very good at it. I hope you read this and feel bad. Will...
