Coming Street Grocery — Local services in Charleston

Prices aren't terrible, but there is definitely a bit of a price gouge here, above even the listed prices. Many prices aren't listed, and I was charged about 55% more than what the pre-sales tax total would have been according to the posted price for the beer I selected. I asked the cashier/owner about the mark-up but he didn't say anything, pretending he didn't understand what I was talking about. It was late, and I wasn't going to walk a mile to another convenience store, so I paid for the beer, but this is something people should be aware of. Would not recommend if other nearby convenience stores...

The employees of this store are rude and ignorant. On my first visit, the employee was on the phone and didn't even acknowledge my purchase. We went in later to purchase beer and the case we bought was broken, the beer cans spilled on the floor and as we were packing them back up, we noticed that several of the cans were empty, but not from the spill. The 2 employees started yelling saying we had to buy the case even though there was damage. They were disgusting and rude! Do not go...

Man at the cashier insisted on us purchasing a specific bottle of wine he promised we would like. The label was partially scratched off but we trusted him anyways. Upon drinking, we found large chunks of I’m not sure what in our cups and at the bottom of the bottle. We went back into the store and he tried to give us a new bottle of only the same price but when I said from a legal standpoint that would not be enough, he told us to get out and took the old bottle from our hands...
