Hermosa Jewelry — Local services in Charleston

I don’t live in Charleston, but I’ve come now to Hermosa three times in the past year to get permanent bracelets put on. For being one of the most popular and highly rated places when researching permanent jewelry, the jewelry hasn’t been “permanent” whatsoever. The first chain I bought (which is now discontinued) the beads fell apart and loosened its pattern within the first few weeks and eventually fell off after a few short months. I came back in February to have it rewelded and actually purchased another permanent bracelet with that- both ended up falling off not even three weeks after. I just was back in CHS in April and went back to the store to explain my experience and see what I could do and I was told I couldn’t get a replacement but I could get them both rewelded again for now the third time. She ended up rewelding my second one and putting a clasp on the first one I got with now zero beads on it, but overall was not ideal and did not think the chain quality was worth the prices. The staff was friendly about trying to make matters right, even though her manager wasn’t there to refund or replace any jewelry. She asked about doing a lot of physical activity, but that wasn’t something I was worried about with the bracelets. I just wish they had some sort of warranty or any sort of compensation for the quality.

She was very friendly and understanding about how frustrating my experience was, and wanted to sort out the situation with me! Could not recommend this more! I decided on Charleston for my bachelorette trip and randomly stumbled upon Hermosa while researching some fun girls night activities. The owner, Haley, was so kind and super informative when getting back to me via email about their permanent jewelry. We decided to schedule a private party (highly recommend) where you come by the store after hours and get to play your own music, drink and snack away (BYO), and shop around. Our welder for the night was Jena and she greeted us with a smile and a “let’s get this party started” attitude. She asked about our trip, gave us some great local recommendations and of course made us all laugh. While walking back to our cars on Friday night, our whole crew was talking about how much fun we had with her and how comfortable she made everyone. I cannot say enough about how amazing Hermosa Jewelry downtown is! I stopped in without an appointment and they said they could fit me in right then. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The staff was so helpful and friendly, a great experience! Go get some permanent jewelry ASAP!
