I brought in a push mower & rider mower for an oil change/tuneup during their busiest time. Mowers came back & the next time I cut my lawn on the rider, it seized up & died. Turns out, they drained the oil from it, but never filled it back up. It was bone dry. I went to check the push mower, and the filter was also not replaced & the old filthy one was still in it. I paid over $500 and was left with nothing. This was a meticulously kept mower that went in for service on a regular basis & was in great shape in fact, I purchased it from them. They denied the whole thing. Said it’s impossible that they didn’t fill up the oil & said it must have drained in my yard. Not only did they deny any wrongdoing, they were very rude about it. It was a grave error on their part and they never took accountability. They also took the mower back because it was dead & kept that AND the brand new battery I paid them for & probably sold it for parts & made even more money off of me. I will NEVER go back again and will warn anyone who thinks of doing business with them. And if you are a customer of theirs, I highly recommend you immediately check your oil levels and filters when you get your equipment back. Especially during their busiest times. I made the mistake of trusting their work and was left without a riding mower & out over $500. ADDED EDIT: You mentioned in your response that I denied repair for a mouse nest. I don’t ever recall denying any repairs nor do I ever recall the mower being at risk. In fact, you boasted about what a great mower it was and how it came religiously every year for maintenance. It was in pristine shape. All I know is, I brought it in for an oil change and there was zero oil in the mower. How do you explain the dirty filter in the push mower? I paid for full service on it and that mower was also untouched. I even called the shop to report it & got a rude response. Your records are inaccurate. And yes, it was 2018, I realized years later after seeing your ad recently that I never did share my experience about your...
Read moreWords can't describe the complete frustration in dealing with Pat's. Brought my mower in because it wouldn't start. 5 days later they said it was fixed, to the tune of $130 after labor and "tune up service" I agreed to. Upon cutting the lawn, I noticed it was leaking gas. I immediately called and brought the mower back, and I knew I was in trouble when the guy I talked to the first time had a hard time remembering why or when I brought it in...less than a week before. He seemed to indicate it would be taken care of quickly....and of course it wasn't. 3 weeks and multiple phone calls later, my mower needed a new carborator to the tune of another $80+. The worst part? Our neighbor's friend, a landscaper no less, had EXACTLY the same problem. His mower needed work, they "fixed it", then he brought it home, it had a new issue and they slammed him again...while taking weeks to do so. The customer service was also atrocious throughout this ordeal. Every time you called it was like the first time I had ever spoken with the guy who runs their repair department. Like they were doing you a favor just answering the phone. Do yourself a favor and NEVER DEAL WITH...
Read moreFairly easy to work with, they were nice enough to throw in a cutting edge because I installed the 3rd function that I purchased, it was more of a trade off, I still paid for the labor and they put a cutting edge on which is fine by me. If there was anything to complain about it would be that when spoke about price for a tractor they said $275 a month, drove about a 9 hour round trip to purchase the tractor and the price shot up to $320ish a month with taxes and fees, and I added their insurance which was an extra $13, but I wasn’t too happy about after driving all morning to figure out that $275 wasn’t the actual price. They wouldn’t throw in a floor mat or even a oil filter for the confusion. They had me in a tight spot after all that driving... As far as dealer prep on a machine, if I’m going to pay full price I would expect the machine would come with a full tank of fuel, and all grease points to be properly greased. I had to put almost 9 gallons of fuel in the machine and about half a tube of grease. Not the end of the world, but usually if you purchase new equipment it comes ready to...
