UPDATE:
Iâm once again I gave Diamonds Direct another chance and once again I am extremely disappointed with the poor customer service. Every time I visit, the staff come across as snobby and act like theyâre better than everyone else. During my latest visit, I asked to have a ring adjusted, and the lady at the customer service counter just sat there watching me struggle to remove the ring, without offering any help. I finally had to ask if she had some of the spray they keep on hand to help slip rings off, something she could have easily suggested herself instead of staring.
After I finally got the ring off, she looked at it and bluntly told me, âWe do not touch that,â and directed me to go to Perryâs instead. So thatâs exactly what I did, and Iâll take my business there from now on. I do want to thank the lady for sending me to a competitor; that was the only thing she did right. It feels like Diamonds Direct has grown too big for their own good and forgotten what customer service actually means. I can only recommend that anyone who wants to buy jewelry and be treated like a valued customer, not like the store is doing them a favor, should go to Perryâs instead.
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââ I am a loyal customer to Diamonds Direct for more than 7 years now. For that reason it really hurts me to say that after my last two visits I would give zero stars if I could. I seems like the Charlotte store went through a transition not only optically but also staff wise. I entered the store and as usual a bunch of sales people were waiting at the entrance. I asked for my sales associate and was only told in a very short way heâs not there anymore. Nobody asked how they could help me or offered me their assistance in general. All I got was a bunch of cocky sales ladies looking up and down on me. So I asked if someone could help me with getting my jewelry cleaned which one of them helped me with, lucky me. When I picked up my jewelry one of the previous sales ladies watched me putting my jewelry away, which was very uncomfortable to be stared at like that and made the comment âLook at her, bringing her own pouchâ. This was very awkward and seemed like a very unnecessary comment to make. I asked if someone could help me finding out when a necklace I ordered 6 weeks ago would arrive and they told me to go to the customer service counter. All info I got there was the necklace is âin processâ. So yesterday I went back to ask again and to get a ring resized. It was a ring I got from my grandmother, means it was not purchased there. I did this in the past and I was always taken care of as a long term and loyal customer. Yesterday I was told I would have to pay $100. I was a little surprised because I spent so many thousands of dollars in this place I really thought we could meet somewhere as usual but no. Furthermore I was told again that they had to clue about my necklace ( 3 weeks I was told, we are at 8 weeks now). I said this is unacceptable and I need to know a date as this is a gift. The lady at customer service just said I should discuss this with my sales person. I told her I would not have one anymore and another lady finally had some mercy to say she would check on that. 10 minutes of waiting later and listening to the other customer service lady polish off another couple in a rude way I was told she didnât get ahold of someone but would call me back on Monday. After all of this I will look into finding a new jewelry store. I obviously need to start from scratch at this place anyway so why not doing that somewhere where you feel valued as a customer and not like staff is doing you a favor that you are lucky to buy something there.
Update: Of course nobody gave me a call on Monday which was no surprise to me. This place has the absolute worst...

Read moreAbsolutely DISGUSTED by the customer service here. An engagement and wedding are one of the most important times in a persons life, and Diamonds Direct have tried to put a damper on these occasions not once but TWICE. The first time I had an issue with them was when I got my engagement ring. The customer service was terrible and they screwed things up multiple times. The sales woman were rude, nonchalant, and truly just donât seem to care at all about what they do. It was so bad the superiors had to get involved to rectify the situation.
So against our better judgment we decided to give them another chance with my wedding band (we had to go back anyway because one of the diamonds fell out of my engagement ring) and once again, the customer service was APPALLING. I truly mean this when I say; I have NEVER been treated the way Diaonds Direct has treated me. Itâs like we were being rushed. The sales associate basically picked the ring she wanted to sell and almost refused to let me try anything else on. My fiancĂ© wanted to see me try on another ring and she basically blew us off. The attitude was; hurry up and give me your money. They CLEARLY donât train their employees on customer service or kindness, and seem to have a knack for hiring nasty women with DISGUSTING attitudes who donât care AT ALL about what they do.
Iâve come in contact with MULTIPLE salespeople/employees and they ALL seem to have the same REVOLTING attitude. I donât know if itâs because theyâre all miserable or just terrible human beings. Who wants to walk out of a place feeling like youâve been mistreadted after you handed them your hard earned money??? If youâre that miserable at your job you should find something that makes you happy instead of trying to spread your misery to others who are enjoying their lives.
We decided to return the wedding band and go somewhere else where we would be treated better. Their diamonds simply arenât worth the frustration they cause during a time that is supposed to be filled with joy. Your engagement and wedding rings are the most important pieces of jewelry youâll ever buy.
If youâre reading this and want a beautiful, joyful experience that leaves you and your partner feeling excited to take one of the biggest steps in your life, then I must say Diamonds Direct is ABSOLUTELY NOT the place to get that experience. You will be left feeling disgusted, and I wouldnât wish that on anyone. Not even my worst enemy. I donât have many regrets in life but I do regret ever stepping foot in this place and involving them with such an important and special moment in my life. Do yourself the biggest favor of your life, and avoid this place at all costs.
Iâd give them ZERO stars if I could. Absolute CLOWN...
