If I could give zero stars I would. Disgusting business practices. I started an email communication expressing interest in a $75 intro class (which is absurd considering all intro classes elsewhere are free...). After very delayed communication from them, we landed on a date for the FOLLOWING WEEK (so not even within a normal cancellation window) and they then asked what the best number was to call me for my information. I hadn't had time to respond to the email because I was at a different (FREE!) intro class at Club Pilates (HIGHLY recommend them!!!). During that time, they took it upon themselves to go through their records and found a card on file from YEARS ago and charge it! I never approved or authorized this. I never agreed to these terms. After several days and MULTIPLE emails, voicemails, social media messages, they responded their policies are "on the board". How would I know what the policies on the board are? I'm signing up for an intro class so I've obviously not seen these. I also never signed anything agreeing to these! Absolute insanity. Slimy, slimy, slimy. I am sure the instructors are just fine. But STAY AWAY FROM THIS STUDIO. I should have listened to the other poor reviews. I've never seen a Pilates studio with such poor ratings and now I know why.
Still waiting on them to explain why they charged my card with zero authorization or approval.
Would also love to know why they feel it is appropriate for them to delete my comment on their Instagram expressing my frustration and asking for someone to contact me. Makes me wonder how many other frustrated customers they're probably are but the public won't know because they are covering it up.
EDITING MY REVIEW TO INCLUDE MY RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESPONSE:
Since I never got a response to the multiple emails I sent asking and since you're willing to answer here, I would LOVE to know where I ever gave any authorization to run my card or even provided my card information. We communicated over email about a POTENTIAL intro class. Nothing was ever confirmed, signed, or authorized. You pulled my card information from YEARS ago when I did a class with classpass. I never gave any permission to run any card nor did I ever authorize anything. So. Slimy. Still waiting on an answer. Have warned MANY people to STAY. AWAY. Unfortunate for your instructors because I'm sure they're fine but will suffer from terrible business practices. If safety is your top priority for clients, you wouldn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe customer service at this place is horrible and if I could give zero stars I would. I completed a private class w/ Katherine which went well. She was great. Afterwards I was told to do another private class because she didn't get to show me everything due to a group being scheduled during my private. I chose not to pay another $100 because that was on them with scheduling and not because of me. To add, I was never told that I would have to complete 9+ classes before taking other classes. And because I know they will respond to my review, I understand safety procedures, etc. So no need to reply and tell me what I already know.
I called a few days later because I had questions before signing up for classes. I was calling for hours and no one answered. Someone eventually texted me which I thought was annoying bc how do you have a receptionist that can you text but don't answer the phone. Anyways, I was able to get a few questions answered via text but still wanted to communicate with someone directly. The biggest turn off was the receptionist attempting to charge my card for a service without my permission and then asking me to send a picture of my card. Thank God I had my card locked because that was unprofessional and did not give her the ok to charge my card.
I then called to attempt the address my concerns with the issue of my card attempting to be charged without my permission, along with wanting to ask some other questions about classes, etc. The lady that answered the phone was rude. She interrupted me every time I was trying to either ask a question or explain something. She was so unprofessional and rushed me off the phone, saying that she or someone will call me back. I never received a callback and didn't care to at this point because I decided to just go elsewhere.
I did find another Pilates place with better hospitality and will be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a class about a week ago with Faith. Sheās a very sweet girl, and I have no qualms about her. You can tell she was simply doing as instructed. Now the studio and the owner on the other handā¦..letās talk about it. Firstly, when I came in and checked in, I was forced to pay for these overpriced socks that are supposed to support you but really do nothing. Please do not let them lie to you, you do not NEED grippy socks to use the reformer. You can do it barefoot. This isnāt my first rodeo with Pilates, so I just observed to see what they were telling people, and the fact that they would force people to purchase something when there was no disclaimer that weād have to purchase socks (it simply said socks HIGHLY recommended) was extremely off putting.
Next, they do not do ANY type of safety tutorial. No hello, welcome to class, hereās what weāre doing today, They just start class. The instructor gave minimal demonstrations, we werenāt informed on how to use and change the springs, which I later found out is due to the studio forcing you to have a private lesson if you buy directly through them before they allow you in a group class. Please do not let this studio lie to you and take your money. You donāt need a private lesson first, and there are so many other amazing studios in Charlotte where youāll receive quality instruction for much less, you wonāt be scammed out of extra money, and you wonāt be treated like youāre just another dollar to the studio. This studio was underwhelming, overpriced, and the workout was bland.
