Little Mama’s food is always great & consistent. There are fresh pasta options, the food is seasoned throughout, great portion sizes and a quaint, & clean ambiance. The fresh mozzarella presentation is absolutely fantastic, and it is a great appetizer staple, that everyone must try.
Parking is very accessible, hostess was very friendly. My price point per person is a little higher because we did salad, app, entree, cocktails, & dessert.
I have to say I’m upset with service, and I’m upset my reservation notes were not read. We went in to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, and were placed right next to the restrooms, it was a little noisier and there was too much foot traffic. Our in laws were also with us it was their first time there and they were facing the wall so as much as I hate asking; we did ask to switch to a booth in a different part of the restaurant. They did accommodate us, and they said all the right verbiage but unfortunately their facial expressions were different, and made all of us feel uncomfortable.
We were never visited by a manager to check on how our visit was going. Our server was very nice to recite the specials of the evening, and had a very nice positive attitude. Though not much teamwork from her coworkers next to her section.
Our fresh food was shoved in front of us while we were forced to collect all of our plates to hand it to whom ever was helping run the food on various accounts. Dirty plates lingered at the end of the table as we tried to set our table for our courses.
Food was dropped and there wasn’t that instant check back to ensure food was appropriate. Nor did the food runner or whomever was running the food. I was waiting for cheese to put on top of my pasta for a while, because I wasn’t able to get the attention of any of the servers. Some were just laughing by the pos systems while our server was catering to all her tables & others around her section; she did the best she possible could.
My reservation said to please automatically bring the Nutella pie for my boyfriends birthday. Instead, they just blatantly offered dessert to the entire table. So, I had to ask for the Nutella pie in front of my boyfriend at the table to than remind my server we were celebrating his birthday.
To some, my review may seem askew but, I chose this restaurant for the food and service to celebrate a special family celebration, and it was embarrassing. I understand the stressors of working in the service industry but this was just not a great experience.

Read moreI don't post reviews often on google but please trust me when I say DO NOT ORDER HERE To-Go. This is my 2nd time eating at Little Mama's and this will be my last time ordering at this restaurant to-go.
The first time my wife and I came here was the prior Tuesday during lunch and this was one of the best Italian restaurants in Charlotte NC. We decided today to order take out for our family since we figured it would be busy inside and we wanted to watch the hockey game at home. Unfortunately I trusted their integrity too much from our first visit because to start us off, I ordered a Family size Spaghetti and Meatballs. Instead of giving me a family size spaghetti, they gave my family a regular order of spaghetti as you can see in the photo we only got 2 meatballs and the portion of that spaghetti ain't feeding a family of 4. I've looked online and several photos on there review page and the family spaghetti gets 4 meatballs... On top of that we also only got 2 pieces breads to take home, so my wife and I didn't even get to eat a bread, but we aren't even complaining bc one of the damn pieces of breads was probably one of overcooked pieces they had sitting in the kitchen all day as you can see. I drove an hour away for this food and I promise you I will not be coming here for a while. The host/waiter that helped me retrieved my food was very disrespectful, he didn't even want to help me find my food and told me I had to wait because they was busy which I understand but if you are the host and the other hostess is helping someone are you not supposed to help other customers.... luckily he apologized or I would of wanted to speak to manager. I hate to post a 1 star but hopefully Little Mama's can be better at doing to-go and teach your hosts to have respect for your paying customers. I feel like I've been scammed out of $38 because that photo shows robbery in broad daylight. If you eat at this restaurant PLEASE dine in only.
My kids had to say the spaghetti noodles crunchy and dry and meatballs didn't taste as good as it does at the restaurant. I truly felt like we was giving food old food or food people returned and they reused it. This is...
Read moreThis was my first visit to Little mama’s Italian. As an influencer, I’m always thinking about the next place to try (I save everything on Google Maps & come back to it when I’m looking to eat or shop). Little Mama’s has been on my to-try list for a bit…..
I had spent the afternoon having some “me time” in Charlotte & decided today is the day to try Little Mama’s.
When I walked into the restaurant, what I noticed from the get-go is the staff want you to have the best experience you could have. I got to meet Brian whom I spoke with on the phone before arriving. When I got seated, I asked him what his favorite dishes are & he told me his go-to dishes are: Penne broccoli & chicken Penne alla Vodka I went with the second one a single portion but upgraded my pasta to the fresh radiatore (pasta made in-house) & the ridges can help wrap & keep the sauce infused into every bite. I was in the mood for something spicy with the pepper vodka, and the spicy tomato cream sauce. I really enjoyed the “kick” in the spice. I suggest dipping the bread in the sauce, YUM!
My server David was awesome. He was telling me the Mozzarella is fresh to order & the oil they bring out with the bread is a house-made Calabrian infused oil. He was also telling me about the “mozzarella presentation” and that’s something that would be fun to do as a couple.
Jason the GM also introduced himself to me. I have dined in the finest establishments & I can say this without hesitation, he knows how to treat customers. We had a quick chat and I was impressed by him. I took a picture of the dessert menu. I was curious, he told me the desserts are all made in house with the exception of the cannoli shells. I would definitely like to come back and try more off the menu.
Buon Appetito...
