Was out early on Christmas Eve to avoid long lines. At the IKEA location I was totally impressed by the young crew in DTLR doing their thing early in the morning. Specifically, Moo and Sam. Not only was I greeted professionally and offered the best customer service, by these two, the experience was nothing less than perfect. Moo and Sam communicated with me during my entire visit to assure I was knowledgeable on the items, especially in their age group, to better suit my sons taste. The suggestive selling was serious. They double-teamed me with their sales knowledge, to the point I could not say no. Even the item i originally thought i did not want, I went back into the store to purchase it. Read moreThe employees stalked us and followed us around, obviously stood in front of the exit like we were gonna take a run for it. We are an average couple in our early 30s. With plenty of money to spend, but treated like we were basically criminals or too poor. When we tried to check out, the cashier literally kept inserting our card with the chip facing the wrong way or the chip not even inserted at all saying our card was declined over and over.. when she obviously was not processing the card correctly. Felt like they just didn’t want to have our business or we’re trying to just get us to leave. It was very odd and obviously upsetting, weird. We even got to a point of being right in front of three associates and they still didn’t greet us or ask if we needed help with anything. The three associates ended up going to the back of the store leaving us to tend to ourselves. There was another customer in the store who also wasn’t helped. The music in the store was very loud. If they would have spoken to us we wouldn’t have been able to hear them without yelling. This location really needs to enhance their customer service skills. We were interested in purchasing an item but because there was no one on the floor to greet us or assist with the item, we left.
