This is now my 3rd attempt to post this review. Holiday Inn keeps telling me it doesn't meet it's guidelines, so they must not want me to share this. If we were not there on business I would have left the first night (we were there for 3 nasty nights). Myself, husband, & daughter were 11 hours from home, so we were stuck like rats on a sinking ship staying there. Upon checking in there was no greeting, no pleasantries, nothing. We had to carry everything by hand from our vehicle & trailer to the room because the only 2 carts they have were sitting there with 2 other families in the lobby (an hour later when we went back down these same 2 families still had the only 2 carts held hostage). We had a lot of things to bring in. The room had large red stains on the rug in various places, it had not been swept, or not very well, the bathroom sink & shower was nasty/dirty & old, the soap & shampoo dispensers were empty (we later were told, when we inquired, they were out of both & couldn't be refilled), the bathroom sink barely drained, no alarm clock, the plug ins on the nightstand are jacked up & our phone chargers just fell out of them (this was fun-insert sarcasm), one bedspread had holes in it, the heating/air unit in the room was in need of repair, and drum roll please....last but not least by no means, a roach. A live roach in our room! Needless to say, we didn't participate in the free breakfast options offered. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. We had to go through everything singly to make sure we didn't bring home any unwanted guests. We must've gotten the worst, oldest room in the building (I booked this room quite a few months ago since it was a business trip; they had plenty of time to prepare our stay). We will never stay there again & Holiday Inn should NOT charge that much for the nasty room & poor service (I would expect these type of accommodations from a lesser motel, not Holiday Inn). Definitely needs an overhaul. Lastly, this is the 1st time that I have ever left a negative review for a Holiday Inn. I feel cheated, ripped off, and very disappointed. I have many photos, but this review only allows me to upload 6 total. I gave a 2 star for room/comfort because I love their pillows, it's not because it was clean. I gave 3 stars for breakfast selections, but didn't partake in it. If I could've given zero stars for this Holiday Inn Express,...
