This is what you want in a comic book store. Likely the nicest and most diverse comic book store you can visit. Tons of graphic novels, lots of different titles- mainstream and independent titles. Clean neat and organized store.
Here is the problem- the help. Owner Shelton Drum is a really nice guy who wants to help you, but he's not always there. A lot of the people that work there are very hit and miss. Some havent read a comic book in years and have no idea what customers are asking for when they ask for help. They at times almost brag about the fact that they have no idea what is going on in a popular title. I have had to help other customers on multiple occasions find what they need. The help is more concerned with listening to trendy hipster music that you won't recognize. It seems to me like most of the people working there would rather be working at a record store. The music at times can be loud and annoying and makes you want to leave. I cant think of once when I have walked in there and the people behind the counter were actually talking...
Read moreI've been going to this location since September 1993. When I tell you that this is one of the premier locations to discuss comics discuss movies MCU and DCAU. The entire staff are true comic book knowledgeable individuals that are not only collectors but they can guide you into the best titles. The level of customer service is far superior than an average business. When you walk into this place it gives you an idea of it's like cheers people know you they greet you they respect you they don't treat you as if you're just a customer they actually treat you like a client a member of the family. I will continue to go here when the time is right I will introduce my grandson to this location and my granddaughter. All of my kids know about this location and they actually know my family very well. This is a place when you come to Charlotte or if you see them advertised at a comic book convention in your city state and town You've got to meet the individuals there you'll be so pleased with the service the knowledge and the...
Read moreI live 2 hours from here and decided to check it out for the first time on free comic book day. I originally found out about it by accident when I learned about Heroes Con last year (2017). They had a really awesome event with some comic creators doing some sketches. They were very prepared and well organized. The store was really awesome inside even though it was a lit smaller than other comic stores Ive been to. They have both new issue comics and back issues. There was a ton of graphic novels. If you're looking for figures they had more of the upscale expensive ones and a few Funkos but not many. Everyone that works here was extremely friendly and seemed to know their regulars which is important for stores like this to be personable. The area was awesome that it is in too so that's a huge plus too! I will definitely visit again next time I visit Charlotte which will be this years Heroes Con. And if you didnt know they host and run it! So that's pretty awesome. So if you haven't been to either definitely...
