I've been shopping at Perry's for over 10 years. What I love about Perry's is unique estate pieces (some of which are custom made & one of a kind). The location being in South Park is an upscale environment & find that Perry's really has great prices. Their buyers & gemologists which buy items have great assortment that changes all the time. They have an annual event every year called Golden Opportunity which you can find up to 70% off items (I've found a few in past 90% off). Clearance & Victorian/Art Deco/vintage pieces are in 2 separate displays which I tend to focus on; however, I've also bought some designer pieces. One of which turned out to be a custom made one of a kind ! The sales staff I've dealt with are knowledgeable, friendly, professional, honest & great to deal with. I dress casual when going there & don't have appearance of having a lot of jewelry when I go there. They treat me like pretty woman they want to have in store rather than customer that they want to dismiss. If you like something ask to see it because you have no way of knowing price on it. I've found some real finds there. Enjoy something to drink with their nice assortment of teas, if you like coffee or something else & take your time. I've bought from Gene, Paige, Joanne, Anas, Larry, & Carolyne. They each bring their own experience & make suggestions plus share more information about jewelry. I've learned a lot from each of them. Only time I've bought a few other fine jewelry other than Perry's was in Bahamas. Bought a few tanzanite & diamond earrings that transform day to night but jewelry wasn't as good quality. I have also sold in past so have dealt with Holly, Leah & Jennifer. I've also bought from Jennifer when she helped on sales floor. Their backgrounds are impressive including Leah being on Antiques Roadshow. I haven't sold any items in many years. Prices are subject to change based on what gold & silver are worth. The items I did sell were mostly items that I've had when I was young that didn't suit me so were small amount items which I wasn't wearing so felt price was fair. I bought other items at annual sale & clearance to upgrade. I don't know what prices would be given to sell other items. You are offered a cash amount & given a check when selling. Would be nice if there was a credit trade in program that offered some more $ to spend. Several jewelry I've had sized there & they do an excellent job. Ernest Hadley is actively involved with Perry's along with his daughter Hadley. I had an opportunity to go to their 40th anniversary & it was really nice experience to see family business that has been actively involved with community events plus appreciates their customers. I had voted Perry's as best jewelry store in Bob's awards. Unfortunately went to another competitor that it was sponsored by so I...
Read moreCould not recommend Perry's enough! My fiancé and I were engaged in March and he presented me with the most beautiful ring any girl could ask for. Unfortunately due to a lifetime of non-stop knuckle cracking on my behalf, my knuckles are much larger than the bottom parts of my fingers, so the ring had a major spinning/slipping issue. It would flip completely backwards causing me to unknowingly slam it on various surfaces and objects. In addition, the constant spinning caused the inside of my fingers to chaf and burn. Knowing I needed to make a change, I did some research on the best jewelers in the Charlotte area and selected one close to me. While Perry's was on the list, it was not the first place I went. Boy am I regretting that decision now. I ended up getting the ring sized 3 times at the first jeweler. Once to size it down, once to size it up to add sizing beads to the ring, and once to size it down again with the sizing beads. While I did appreciate that they waived the fee for the first sizing, I unfortunately left there for the third time with a ring that still didn't fit. I was basically told that "a lot of women have the same issue I do and they deal with it just fine" and that I "shouldn't have picked a ring that was so top-heavy without trying it on first". While their comments were largely true, it's not exactly what I wanted to hear. I was so disappointed and felt stupid for thinking I could rock a beautiful princess ring just like the pictures I saw on Pinterest. So discouraged in fact that I stopped wearing the ring for 5 months. Earlier this month, a friend's mom suggested that I give it another go with a different jeweler because the sizing beads were clearly not even touching my finger enough to prevent it from slipping. Alas, that is when I decided to go to Perry's. I made an appointment with Jason, fully expecting to be told there was nothing they could do except sell me a different ring that was less top-heavy or buy two wedding bands to solder to the engagement ring to make it thicker on my finger. The true experience far-exceeded by expectations. Jason is an extremely knowledgeable, highly skilled Assistant Manager and Custom Jeweler at Perry's with a passion for solving problems with his highly-skilled, exquisite craftsmanship. Not only was he able fix my ring so that it fit perfectly (for the first time in 7 months), but he saved me a ton of money in potential costs in the process. All within the span of a week. I felt like I was in great hands because I could see how determined he was to get it right. I'm am now a lifelong Perry's customer. Thank you so much Jason and to all the...
Read moreI submitted my prior response before realizing I had an opportunity to provide my complete review of my experience today at Perryâs and with Your team.
It was my first visit to Perryâs, but I had heard great things about you from my wife and daughter.
I could not be more honest than to tell you that my experience was extraordinary from the moment I walked in your door.
Your receptionist was truly the best âfirst impressionâ a customer could receive as I entered, and saw her beaming smile and heartfelt âWelcome to Perryâsâ. She greeted me with exceptional warmth and embrace and expediently directed me into your showroom.
I apologize I did not get her name - hopefully you will know who was at the front desk at about 2:30 today and and express my gratitude for her making me feel so welcome and valued as a prospective customer. I will do the same on my next visit.
On entering the showroom⊠I was received by Carolyne Thomson⊠as if she had been waiting on me her entire life - she instantly made me feel welcome and appreciated. I told her that I rarely succeeded in buying my wife any jewelry that she really loved and appreciated (and did not return)⊠and that I really wanted something that she would fall in love with and wear with joy.
From that moment - Carolyne started asking me questions; about me, my wife, my family, my comfort budget level and aspirations. She was pleasantly professional and patient. Once she understood why I came through your front door to begin with, she took me to the exact collection that matched my objective of giving my wife a Valentineâs gift I am certain she will love.
I felt that she understood me and my goals, and most importantly - how much I love my amazing special wife of 43 years.
Customer oriented salespeople with radiant talent like Carolyne are a rare breed and virtually non-existent in todayâs world.
I hope you appreciate her as much as I now do.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide my review and God Bless đ!
