Emily gives me life!!!! A little over 2 years ago, I was on the search for a stylist who was good with curly hair and who wasn't afraid to give clients their opinion (they are the expert, not me!). I had tried several different places and couldn't seem to find "the one". When I called to make the appointment with Emily, she immediately contacted me and was extremely warm, excited, and willing to work with my schedule for our first appointment. I found gold with Emily. Not only is she great at her craft, but she is passionate about her work and her clients. Over the years, she has watched me go through many seasons of life and has always given me the "boost" i need to feel confident, stylish, and appropriate for whatever stage I was in (pregnancy, baby, after baby etc). She now not only cuts my hair but also my 1 year old ( i wouldn't take her tp anyone but Emily!).

When I recently found out Emily was one of the first in Charlotte to get certified with the Kacy Welch hand tied extension method, I knew it was my chance for long hair that would look natural. I have had short / medium hair for the past 15 years and even though I have wanted it long, I could never find the patience to grow it out. The day of my appointment, Emily walked me through the whole process (from color matching to maintenance). I am completely blown away with the results and haven't stopped smiling since I left the salon a few days ago. My hair is naturally curly so I was a bit concerned about how the extensions and my hair would mesh together. Emily blended the two so well that you can't tell which is my hair and the extensions. I feel younger and have gotten many compliments from friends and family already saying how natural they look. I would highly recommend EMILY and this method to anyone wanting longer hair or just a fun change. EMILY...

I love Volume! I used to live in uptown, like literally 3 min away and walked over whenever I needed a cut. In the past I’ve had Anna, and she’s amazing (despite her junior stylist title). Her blow dry technique is my absolute favorite!

After moving out of uptown recently, I needed a last minute cut today (11/12) & volume came to mind. Since it was so last minute, I decided to just jump the gun & book an appointment here. My stylist today was great! Her name is Camila & she’s new but she did an amazing job with my haircut/trim.

The website says parking available, but this is a BIG stretch. There are 6 shared spaces available for the salon & the Camden offices building right next door. All 6 spots were taken. With that being said, I did not get to park for free & parked across the street for $15 (for 10 hours but I was out in 1 hour). Because I’ve never paid for parking before, I just never knew. Personally, it’s not worth it for anyone that lives outside of the city. I’m sad that this will be the last time visiting this salon but good...

Good experience with Emily! She was kind and I liked my haircut result when she blow dried it but seeing it natural, the layers weren’t doing anything for me. That’s on me because I have thick wavy / curly hair and didn’t ask if she has done that hair type and its a pretty safe assumption their speciality is straight hair (again, I should have known - just look at their IG). They had an opening on Good Friday which worked with my schedule, so I took what I could get. I was confused that they don’t accept tips via credit card, which I only found out at the end (only accept Venmo, etc or cash). There is free parking and they give you instructions in their confirmation email, but spots are extremely limited - maybe 6 in total? The negative for me was the vibe of the place - maybe it’s my mistake thinking an uptown hair salon would be welcoming, because I was definitely wrong. Overall, I don’t particularly...
