Friday at the start of Labor day weekend so felt a bit more crowded than usual as is expected. It's the same on most weekends which is why I try to shop weekday afternoons. Mostly when I absolutely need something. Not a big Target fan in general. This one feels particularly cramped once you move into the grocery section. Customers can be rude and entitled cutting you off because they're in a hurry, reaching in front of you because they're impatient. I typically, leave my basket in a place that doesn't obstruct and then walk thru the aisle to grab what I need rather than navigate grocery carts.
The employees are very helpful for the most part. Today they were stocking shelves, which seems strange to be doing on a Friday before a holiday weekend. I've always had a good experience with the Target employees.
My biggest reason for the 3 stars is for Targets decision to work with CVS and provide pharmacy services. What a NIGHTMARE!! I was 3rd in line and still had to wait 30 minutes before I was helped. One gal working who looked and acted like she'd rather be anywhere but working. When it was time to check out, I told her that my HSA card did not have a chip. She offered zero assistance other than when I was fumbling to find where I could swipe my card, she kept repeating "the bar goes the other way." Didn't matter how I turned it, I kept getting the same response. i could not find where to slide the card (because no two readers are the same) and she offered no assistance. When I finally figured it out, I told her that it would have been helpful if she had demonstrated.
I'm 63 and still very capable of figuring these things out, but I do suffer from arthritis in my hands and deteriorating eyesight. I am SO SICK of these young, entitled, slackers who demand we use the correct pronouns, etc. and do nothing to earn any respect. Where's the consideration for someone who's worked hard, paid their dues and was taught to treat my elders with kindness and respect and always do so. News flash! You'll be dealing with the same challenges one day when you're a senior citizen and I hope you get the same treatment you demonstrated today.
Shame on you CVS for not addressing the concerns of the customers at the Target Chaska and shame on Target for not holding CVS more accountable.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas at the Chaska Target today between 230 and 330. My wife and 2 children went there for baby food. After getting the one thing we came there for, we decided to look around. Our 2 month old felt a little cold and we did not bring a blanket. My wife grabbed a blanket from the baby section to use and after walking around for a while and checking the price of the blanket we decided to buy it. At one point after leaving the back to school section, my wife overheard a younger gentleman that clearly worked there (but did not have the same attire as the other employees), say something about checking something at the check out line. After grabbing a few other impulse things we went to check out. As our cashier rang everything out, I stood in the check out with the tag for the blanket to pay for it. I made no attempt to conceal it in any way and stood there patiently holding the tag in plain view as she rung out our other items. It was just as she finished ringing everything out (blanket included) that the same younger gentleman from before (I surmised some sort of AP or supervisor based on his attire)came over and randomly started putting our bags into our cart. I knew exactly what he was doing as I have worked in retail for over 14 years. My wife has always told me she would get the feeling she was being watched at that Target but I never quite believed her until today. We go there probably 4 times a week, often doing our major grocery shopping there instead of Cub across the street. It's so nice to think that all the times we choose to spend money there, my wife and I have looked like thieves to them as we walk around with our 4 1/2 year old autistic son and more recently our 2 month old son. Dont call me your "guest", Target. Because you clearly dont look...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased $1300 worth of gift cards at target. One of which was a $100 Spotify gift card. At the time of purchase no one said anything about the gift cards not being returnable. Went to return tonight and they would not take it back. They proceeded to tell me that the policy is on the receipt. I said āyouāre telling me that I purchase something first then I get the receipt and I canāt return it because the policy is on the receipt that I didnāt get prior to purchasing.ā Yes, thatās right. I will not be purchasing gift cards ever again from target or for target for anyone. The management at the store handled the situation poorly. When I asked if anyone else had ever had the same problem they said yes. I asked why nothing was changed or why they didnāt teach their team members to say something. They said itās not their responsibility, that I need to call customer service to complain and to request that there be a sign posted or something like that. But ETL Rihanna and ETL Carissa were less than courteous, work curt, and frankly rude. They didnāt attempt to defuse the problem Unless you consider telling the customer itās their fault for not knowing, a solution. When I worked for Target at headquarters I was Hot if you come to the meeting with a problem or question you should also come to the meeting with a possible solution. Clearly that is no longer important. When someone has purchased $1300 in one purchase you would think they would give them better customer service. Especially since a majority of them were a target gift cards. Itās unfortunate that the Chaska Target has...
