I never caught their names but to all the girls working on Sunday June 29th thank you so much for keeping an eye on my foster babies while I ran around the store like a crazy person. They were very sweet and the kittens loved the attention!! Up for adoption through BARK MN Rescue will be on Petfinder mid week 😎 thanks again!! But to the random groomer maybe?? Floor person? Who took the picture of my car and/plate as I went out to pull up to the front to easier load the awkward cage of kittens, do better. I'm certain the assumption she and maybe the others as well, (which would be unfortunate) came to was that I was going to abandon the kittens at the Chaska Petco. Honestly, not the first time I have been judged based on my behavior and the closed minds of those around me.. Hey, I live with this brain everyday. I get pretty sick of it and am mean enough to me without needing a complete stranger adding to that inner dialogue. So, I am well versed in what ignorant people typically perceive me as. If I could move about this world without ever being noticed I would be happy. Not because I'm odd but because of just how damn hard it is to exist surrounded by unkind and entitled people. I found joy in most of the interaction that took place today. Then was pretty quickly ashamed and embarrassed when I realized she was taking that picture. I knew what was going on. You never really get used to how deeply it hurts. I just want to say that if anything comes of this please simply take away from it that we see you. The weird/awkward kids who are looked down on. We see all the faces, the smirks, eye rolls, disdain etc etc ect and it is hurtful. You don't know anything about me. You didn't care to know me other than what you immediately assumed about me. Which speaks volumes of the caliber of person that you are. It costs you nothing to be kind, absolutely nothing. I could have slowed down, talked less, been less jittery of a space cadet and it still would not have mattered. God knows I want so badly to not do any of those things ever in public, to be normal would be pretty awesome some days. So, The label was given and that was that.
I had a cage full of kittens in a hot car on very hot day so I brought them inside. Like a responsible pet person would and should do. I am an excited, anxious socially awkward woman who just wants to fit it most days. Except today. I'll stick to myself for the rest of my life before I am ever unkind to those who don't deserve it. Do better. You are the next generation of this world who preach so much of acceptance yet you are so quick to hateful judgement of others, so entitled and spoiled. The hypocrisy is palpable. Be kind. It's...
Read moreSmaller store but newer than most petco stores around. I stopped quick for crickets. Walked the store they had a greeter near the door who I assume was the manager and had an associate pass me as I walked to the back of the store with out a word said from them. There was another associate back there helping another customer so I walked back to the guy (manager?) Near the entrance and asked for help getting the crickets he said he couldn't help but he could have someone help me. He grabbed another guy asked him to help me, this guy pulled out a phone and called to the back of the store (a whole 200ft max away) found out there wasn't any one back there to help me after I had already told him the 1 person back there was busy. He had me follow him to the back of the store to find out the crickets were not there but at the front instead. Back to the front we go when he hands me off to the cashier for her to bag the crickets. Something that should have taken no time to accomplish took much longer especially considering there was not many customers in the store at all. AND THEY CHARGE TO MUCH FOR CRICKETS! compared to Chuck and Dons or Petsmart or any other store I've been to for that matter. P.S. management shouldn't be above doing tasks especially for a customer and especially if they are just standing by the door saying hi to people as...
Read moreFor Vital Care members, Petco is not always applying all the rewards and discounts you should get so be sure to check your receipts. I left the store two days ago and was overcharged $84.00!
I am editing this review to add that I was overcharged $100 recently and had to return to the store with all my items so they could be returned and rung up again properly. During my last visit, I was only given credit for 6 of my 9 premier vital care rewards even tho the cashier assured me that he saw all of them loaded up on his end and that I had been given credit for each. I looked at the receipt and told him that I should have been given a $45 discount and only rec'd $30. He made me show me my phone rewards again and said, "Oh. The system must be slow today." He had to return my dog food, ring it up again and then apply a $15 credit for the difference. Virtually EVERY TIME I purchased something at Petco and used the Premier Vital Care "benefits" that I PAY $40/month to have, I have not been given the discounts I deserved. After the last visit where they shorted me $15, I went home and cancelled my "rewards program" and will not use Petco again. I spent hours of time showing cashiers the errors, speaking to managers, calling their "help center" and driving back to the store (which isn't in my city) to have the...
