Rocket Fizz — Local services in Chattanooga

On an unexpectedly cold and rainy Saturday while in Chattanooga, we were looking for options that were indoors. We were staying at The Read House, and Rocket Fizz was right near the Pinball Arcade Museum and the Moon Pie Store, which all three made for a really fun day!

The selection here is overwhelming (in a good way!) We started at the entrance and went all the way around, taking our time relishing in the memories that so much of the stuff there held. We picked up some candies that we hadn't seen in a while, and introduced our son to taffy, which he is now addicted to! The two women who worked there were super friendly and engaged with the customers. I interjected myself into a conversation (only for listening!) where one of the ladies was going over all of the various chocolate bar options that they had, and it was all really informative and helpful since many of the labels are not in English.

One thing that was really cool is that the people who work at Rocket Fizz put together these mystery bags that are themed, which is a really cool concept. We got an Asian themed bag, and while we were really happy with most of the choices, we were a little bit disappointed that this particular bag included taffy and a four pack of flavored sodas, which took up a big part of the bag and wasn't at all aligned with the theme. I would've liked to be able to swap those items out for quite a few of the other Asian choices, and would've been happy to pay more.

We loved our time in Rocket Fizz-probably spent about an hour in there-and we will always go back there when we visit Chattanooga! I think we have enough candy to last...

Who doesn't love candy?!? Maybe taffy is your thing or maybe you are looking for an odd flavor of soda. Well this is the place for you. There are so many different options for taffy to pick from, flavors you wouldn't even imagine, they have it. And the same with soda, I didn't think there could be that many options, and some that would blow your mind! To the candy, there's a little bit of everything, hard to find flavors, in Skittles, M&M's and way more. And the staff were friendly, cutting up, making you feel right at home! There's so many options there is definitely something for everyone. From candy, taffy, soda, gummies, they even have the one chip challenge and other super spicy challenge items! Stop by and pay them a visit and fix that...

Rocket Fizz is one of my favorite places to visit no matter where I am in the country, and the Chattanooga location did not disappoint! After spending hours playing pinball just down the street, we walked over for a little treat break—and it was the perfect stop.

The store is colorful, nostalgic, and packed with fun surprises. We browsed through aisles of retro candies, quirky gifts, and shelves lined with hundreds of unique sodas. I grabbed a cold drink and some sweets to take with me, and it absolutely hit the spot.

If you're downtown, this place is a must-visit—whether you're a candy lover, soda collector, or just want to relive a bit of your childhood. Can’t wait to come back next time...
