The Plaza at Cherry Hill is a spacious, open-air power retail center located adjacent to Cherry Hill Mall on Route 38—conveniently serving the Cherry Hill, Moorestown, Marlton, and Pennsauken areas . Anchored by major retailers including Aldi, Total Wine & More, Raymour & Flanigan, LA Fitness, Guitar Center, Red Robin, Red Lobster, and Chuck E. Cheese, it offers a well-rounded mix of shopping, dining, fitness, home goods, and family-friendly entertainment .
⸻
👍 What it gets right • Diverse anchor mix: The variety—from grocery and liquor to fitness and family eateries—makes it a reliable one-stop stop (). • Good dining options: Reviewers appreciate family-friendly venues like Red Lobster, Red Robin, Ruby Buffet, and Chuck E. Cheese. One TripAdvisor user noted: “PLAZA WITH BUDGET‑FRIENDLY DINING OPTIONS… I would return to The Plaza at Cherry Hill to eat there.” • Convenient layout & parking: With 1,700+ spaces, it’s easy to park and stroll around. Though busy shoppers may face typical suburban mall crowding, other users say the lot is clean and family-friendly ().
⸻
🤔 Areas for improvement • Aging infrastructure & vacancies: Built in 1970 and last renovated in 1987, the center is showing wear and in need of modernization. A 2020 township review found about 27% of its leasable space unoccupied and recommended redevelopment . • Traffic patterns: Reddit users highlight the Route 38/Cherry Hill Mall Drive intersection as frustrating and potentially unsafe for pedestrians: “The lot was not designed for pedestrians… I got hit by a car at low speed in that parking lot”
“That entrance … is a nightmare. Every single other entrance is a better idea.” • Competition from the mall: The neighboring Cherry Hill Mall and latest redevelopment investments (new retail, dining, entertainment) may overshadow the plaza’s dated feel .
⸻
🏁 Final verdict
The Plaza at Cherry Hill offers great functional variety—ideal for families grabbing groceries, fitness-goers, DIY shoppers, and casual diners. However, its outdated design, traffic quirks, and underused space keep it from being a top-tier destination.
Overall Rating: 3.5 ★ / 5 • Pros: Convenient anchors, family-friendly dining, ample parking • Cons: Aging look, pedestrian-unfriendly layout, strong nearby competition

Read moreI've been shopping there for almost 30 years, and still go there once a month for different things, especially from Aldi and Total Wine & More. The shopping plaza is owned by Urban Edge that is a real estate company geared for shopping centers portfolio. The plaza had seen better days like 10+ years ago, but due to economic constraints has a few available locations for rent, so if you're in the journey of opening a business please give them a call and I'm confident that they will offer you a great deal for space rental. The shopping plaza has great selection of retail, restaurants and beauty salon or spa. There is a discount type store called Savers, Total Wine & More, Big Blue Swim School is coming up soon in one empty suite, Ruby's Cajun Buffet, Empire Beauty School, Tru Golf, Guitar Center, Aldi food market, Raymond & Flanagan, Dick's Sporting warehouse store, Pure Hockey, Red Robin restaurant, Navy Federal Credit union and Red Lobster restaurant. As I stated before there are few locations or suites for rent for those ready to pursue their business passion. Overall the shopping center is clean, plenty of parking lots, it is close to Cherry Hill Mall and other shopping places within Route 38, Haddonfield Road and Church Rd. so one can have all the shopping needs done in one great triangle, or just spend some time browsing around. The plaza is accessible by personal vehicle, bicycle, busses or ride shares. For those who want to combine some shopping experience and fitness, park the vehicle and just go on foot around if weather allows it, highly recommended. Go ahead and check out the Plaza at Cherry Hill, you won't regret it, besides with holidays approaching all around will be nicely decorated and...
Read moreI love the people that work at this store, especially Patti who's been with R&F for many years. They treat everyone with respect and patience while you're trying to decide on what you'd like to buy. The delivery guys were a-ma-zing!! They delivered 2 rooms of furniture for my mom and I and set things up for us too. Not a scratch or a dent on anything and they were careful not to leave footprints on my floors even though it was raining outside. I'm such a happy...
