I went to Raymour & Flanagan because I have heard so many good things about it! I recently moved into the city and went in person to the store a month before my move to start checking out furniture. They were kind when they greeted me and helped me find a sofa for my walk up. When the day came for delivery, the delivery men did a quick walk through up the apartment to see how to maneuver the couch. When they got to the top floor they told me they wouldn’t be able to fit it because of the ceilings. They didn’t try because they didn’t want to get hurt which I understand and respect because safety is always #1. They told me someone would reach out likely before the end of the day. For the next three days I had to call the store to ask about my order. The first time they said to pick a different couch.. but considering the issues I had with the first and that I live in the city with no car.. it would have been nice to have some extra help. The second time I called on the second day, I asked for a refund since I never received my product and NO ONE called me to help resolve the situation. Whoever answers was on the phone with me for 3 seconds, sounded annoyed, and said “ok” and hung up. No information on how the refund would be processed, what to expect.. and considering I spent almost 2 thousand dollars, I found this unprofessional, rude and completely inconsiderate. The 3rd day I had my mom call since I am a registered nurse and was heading into my overnight shift and really didn’t have the time to call- apparently my mom received the same kind of rude service but did find out I could go in person with my card to get a full refund. This has been impossible for me to do so. I have no car in the City, I work multiple nights shifts during the week and sleep during the day, and I have been moving in all other aspects of my apartment, building furniture, and starting grad school. I was told I would have to wait up to 2-4 business weeks to get my $1800 back on a couch I NEVER received and the store NEVER reached out to me to help resolve this problem. I would have considered getting another couch from then if they were to have been more kind and helpful but from this experience I really just want my refund. It’s been hard enough working 12+ hour days and coming home to nothing to sit on. Very disappointed in my experience and I am still trying to figure out how to get here in person because I need...
Read more4 months and still my furniture won't be delivered! Do not buy anything from them unless you can wait months and have hours of time to deal with the worst customer service in the business. This nightmare is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had anywhere regardless of industry. I ordered furniture in MARCH and was told it would be ready in May when I move into my new place. The week before I'm supposed to get my stuff delivered I'm told half my stuff will no longer be produced. They waited until a week before I was supposed to receive my furniture to tell me this. Then they tell me the other furniture in my order might not be available until June and even that can't be guaranteed. I need furniture so I change my order with the representative who contacted me and she tells me the estimated times are accurate and it should be delivered the first week of June. June is here and now they say it might not be ready until July! They also can't guarantee some of the stuff will even be delivered and again might be discontinued. At this point I tell them this is ridiculous and I want a refund and they say its special order so they can't give me a full refund! They basically are holding my money hostage and I ordered over $9000 worth of stuff! The worst part is nobody wants to help you! A representative emailed me after my sale named David and said contact him if I have issues and when I did he said he couldn't help me. The representative, Danielle, who called me to change my order sent me an email thanking me for my business but when I had issues wouldn't help me. Corporate offices and the main customer service line won't help and make you hold on the phone for hours just to talk to them. They for weeks they were saying they can't look up the status of my delivery and I have to wait for somebody to call me. Then they have a customer service email that is just for cosmetic purposes to make them look like they care, but in reality doesn't even respond. Avoid giving this company your business because once they get your money they...
Read moreUPDATE, I responded to the email they told me to in their response to this below. I waited 1 week and 1 WEEK LATER. THEY WILL NOT MAKE AN EXCEPTION EVEN JUST ONCE. NOT EVEN FOR A DISABLED PERSON will they bend 1 rule from their precious policy to exchange, not return and refund, but exchange a 2nd mattress, a mattress that THEY encouraged the disabled person to buy because of their condition. Why wouldn't someone, especially disabled, buy what they would recommend? We don't know mattresses. They're the experts. So of course anyone would trust them. We bought one from them, which is called the Reagan aireloom bed that cost thousands. It was medium firm. It was ok, not bad. So my wife talked to the manager at the store, the manager encouraged my wife to exchange it for the aireloom firm, said it would be better for me. Well ok then, we don't know what different mattresses do and don't do so if the expert manager and sales person says it, then why wouldn't anyone believe them. Turns out it's WORSE. I wake up with joint, muscle and back pain every day. I tried to keep it for 90 days like they recommend, but I only made it to 60 when I made the call asking them to make a 1 time exception especially when it's based on them telling us this mattress would be better. The store said they're sorry, there's nothing they can do, it's their policy. Then I called the corporate office, they too said they're sorry, there's nothing they can do, it's their policy. As if they made a 1 time exception and bent their precious policy, their whole corporation would come crashing down. All raymore stores would crumble and profits would shatter and they would have to close and file for bankruptcy. They don't care about you, your wallet or your well being. They only care about taking as much money from you as possible, even if it means hustling you. Try other stores before you...
