Bye Bye Chicago — Local services in Chicago

My family and I travel from Washington State to Chicago twice a year to visit our son. We always hit the local sites as well as various restaurants in the area. We also visit various souvenir shops to purchase things for our loved ones back home. Tonight (March 12, 2021) we decided to visit Bye Bye Chicago located at 320 N Michigan, near W Wacker and Michigan Ave. we picked up some items and when we brought them to the register, we were met by a VERY rude female who obviously didn’t want to be at work. When asked questions, she snapped at us with her answers. We ended up putting everything back and leaving the shop. We will never return to this or any Bye Bye Chicago store again. There are plenty of people who need jobs and would love to have the work. I would recommend they hire those kind of people. Don’t shop here unless you enjoy being treated very rudely. Came to a different location last year and the employee had amazing customer service and was very helpful, but did not catch her name. A week later before my trip ended I went to their store by the river, and did NOT receive the same good service. Came to this location yesterday and was greeted by that same employee that helped me the first time. She had amazing service once again, and the entire time while she was helping me, she still managed to greet other customers and be just as nice. I asked her name this time, and Ariel is a wonderful employee for this store! Chicago is filled with so many little shops like these that have so many people coming in and out daily, and a majority of the time, I don’t quite get the best service. If I could give them a -1 I would. I purchased several shirts here and one did not fit. I brought it back to the store for an exchange. I would have paid the balance for anything that fits. Cashier confirmed she can exchange it. I phoned my lovely wife and had her pick a new shirt! Great! Just to be told at the register that my exchange cannot be processed anymore and I have to pay the full amount for the shirt. Would it have taken anything to just exchange it!
