Terrible Experience – Misleading Promises and Zero Accountability
I went into this branch back in April with the intention of opening a CD. Irene and Maggie kept pushing me to open a checking account instead, promising a $250 bonus if I set up direct deposit of $3,000. They assured me the bonus would be available 30 days after the $3,000 was deposited.
Well, it’s now July — over 90 days later — and I’ve received nothing.
I’ve called multiple times and keep getting the runaround. First, Irene told me there was nothing they could do and passed me off to her manager, Maggie. Maggie said she opened a case and that the bonus would be available on 7/3. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking the holiday (7/4) might cause a delay. Now it’s 7/7 and still nothing.
I called again today, and Irene told me the manager is on vacation until next month and that I should just “give it another month.”
This branch is also nearly impossible to reach by phone. I’ve had to call 8-9 times just to get someone to answer. The only time they’re responsive is when trying to convince you to open an account. After that? They ghost you.
It’s clear they are just trying to hit quotas for new accounts and deposits. They’ll say anything to get you to sign up, then backtrack and pretend they can’t help.
This is a predatory and dishonest practice. Avoid this branch at all costs.

今天我再次打电话过去,Irene 说经理现在在休假,要到下个月才回来,让我“再等一个月”。

Read moreMe and my mother went to this location because she has an account there. We were there for account maintenance. The bankers took other clients that they knew before assisting us. We were there for 33 minutes and other people that came thru the door were taken care of first because they knew the bankers by name. I am never coming back to that location again. I will inform all of my friends and family Members to close out accounts and go somewhere else. This location has no accountability for their workers. I am of Asian ethnicity and so is my mother and I will never ever go back to Chinatown...
Read moreA close friend of mine has banked with Citi Bank for 25yrs, we go to this location on our lunch break and the teller gave him false information. After receiving this inaccurate info we were told we had to wait over 30min to see a manager with NO other customers in line. We definitely felt like we were being discriminated on after leaving this branch. We contacted corporate immediately after leaving. This was an awful experience. I told my friend if corporate doesn't do anything he should strongly consider changing banks....
