I want to start off by saying the employees weren’t rude or disrespectful in any cases, however, I came here to get lash extensions because I had gotten one in the same place a few years ago. The person who did my lashes is Tina and she wasn’t disrespectful in any cases but after the lash extensions immediately my eyes were super red and I had gel super uncomfortable which is very different from the experience I’ve had a few years ago. I also got a wax for brows after because Tina said I need a fix which I later noticed was bleeding and took a layer of my skin off when I got home. The area looked red but my lashes were worse. They were more red and irritated and there were yellow discharge coming out of my eyes every minute. I thought it was just the glue not being fully dried but it wasn’t. I had asked Tina at the end when I pay if I needed to let the lashes dry for 24 hours and she confidently said no. However when I woke up in the morning, everything was at the worse. I couldn’t open my eyes and it felt like my eyes were glued shut. When I finally got them to open my eyes had tears coming out of them uncontrollably and more yellowish discharge. I hurriedly went back to this salon and waited for them before they open. A few of their employees arrived and asked me if I was waiting for the salon to open and I said yes and told them about the lashes. I then had them call the boss because at this point my eyes were blurrier to the point where I can’t even see things clearly and they hurt a lot with yellowish stuff coming out of my eyes. The girl boss later arrived and got me situated when I told her about the situation. It took a long time to take the lashes off because they were stuck together and the boss later told me after we were done that the remaining lashes would just fall off in its own later. She also told me to go to the Walgreens nearby and buy myself some infection eyedrops. She did refund me for the lashes but not the brows and when I told her about the layer of skin coming off she replied with oh Tina might have ripped the wax too hard or something like that. This whole time the boss was not being disrespectful but the lingering eyelashes were not making my eyes any better. I later went to the eye doctor and got it checked out and later came back because the remaining lashes were hurting my eyes still. Once I stepped in the door the boss came up to me and got me situated after I told her that I want my remaining lashes to be removed and she did that. It took a while but eventually every false lash were removed and she left. I later found out that I got a pink eye from them and the eye doctor have told me that it is a bacterial infection meaning that the tools weren’t cleaned properly and make my eyes infected. Overall the service wasn’t bad but the whole pink eye thing left me and my eyes very uncomfortable because I have a whole day schedule planned and now have been cancelled. The whole experience has left me with great disappointment and discomfort because I did have to pay out of my pocket for the treatments for my eyes. Especially since I have a very important day after and me with a pink eye infection does not make...
Read moreSo this review is a little hard because I really loved this place!!! The stars are for nice aesthetic of the shop, polish selections/previous services, and first time pleased! Came across this place visiting Kong Dog next door (mother/daughter date :)) - decided to go in and get pedicures. I left this place telling friends and scheduling pedi dates to all come togther. My daughter and I have been every month since for pedi and/or full set w/designs. But this week made me feel like I might want to look for a new shop :( Went inside and was asked about an appointment which we didnt make but was hoping to get in since it was early. Someone finally said they could do it but we have to wait 30 minutes, ok its our fault. My daughter services were a take off/full set w/french tip and 2 fingers with :) smiley face on them - charged $100!! Paid $105 still wanted to tip the young lady for her service because I just felt it was right. Now every time we have been here - my daughter gets a full color polish and designs on all fingers (will add pic of birthday nails since that the most designed she has done) and we pay $80 ($85 w/tip) or over a hundred if pedicure is added. This time she got less and paid more! Nails weren't as neat as before - diferent length (will add pic of new set w/pointer and ring finger obvious) and width with the acrylic lay/shape was off but she liked them. When I asked about the price jump the explanation just didnt make sense - charged twice ($10) since 2 people had to take off- one person couldnt do it all the way!?? French tip on all 10 fingers $10 (basically $2 each finger) and the 2 smiley faces :)
Read moreI want to start this off by saying this is a good salon and I do recommend them. customer service and the overall vibe in this salon is very good. The techs are sweet, the ambiance is relaxing, the prices are reasonable.
I got a no chip gel pedicure on 3/30/23 and they did a phenomenal job. I would give this salon a 5.0 rating if we are only talking about the pedicure. However, I have to rate them 3.5 because I returned on 4/4/23 for a hard gel full set French tip manicure and as of 4/9/23, three of my nails have broken off without hard labor to them or hitting them on anything to cause the breakage. An older woman/tech completed my nails and the entire time I was being serviced, the other nail techs kept watching/overseeing her. I assume she may have been in training or maybe does not usually do hard get full sets because although the end result looked great from a distance, the overall finish was a little lumpy and they did not hold up. I wouldn’t be as disappointed if my nails actually lasted. It hasn’t even been a week and I’m not sure there’s anything I could have asked her to do differently, I just think the tech that serviced me maybe was not as experienced and that’s fine but I was unfortunately disappointed.
One nail has came off completely as if I had press-ons on so I glued it back on and the other two, the tips broke off. Additionally, I have two more nails that are cracked already, so by the end of this week they will likely all be gone. I would certainly return again for a pedicure and I would even give them another chance with my manicure, but I would recommend ensuring the tech that is servicing you, can assure you your nails will last.
I wouldn’t be as disappointed if my nails had lasted, but again, it has not even been a full 7 days since I was serviced and it looks like it’s...
