This is by far my worst experience with both store management and a customer service center. We ordered in store from Esterlee: 2 leather chairs, a custom arm chair, custom left sided chaise and custom right sided love seat from this location. Upon delivery, they had two RIGHT arm love seats and we were missing one of the chairs. Why would someone order two right sided anythings?? The delivery manager [over the phone] told us to refuse both the love seats, we kept the leather chairs, and said they would call us to fix it the next day. No call. Eventually got an email saying the missing chair was coming. No word on chaise or love seat. So i called them to discuss. Apparently the love seat was never reordered on their end. Find out that reordering estimate was going to be 12 weeks from scratch. When attempting to reorder from service center, find out that fabric is discontinued. She recommended calling delivery hub to see if the 2 right arm love seats could be reclaimed. Customer service starting calling their delivery center so i started talking to the store manager, Joanne. Joanne says the fabric isnt discontinued and can be ordered. Im on with service center again and they say the right handed love seats are gone. I get a voice mail from Joanne while calling. On voicemail Joanne says "yes the fabric is still available and we can... [typing] uh.... [more typing]... *click. I call her back and she confirms 15 mins later that fabric IS discontinued. Joanne then offered replacement fabric type... she doesnt realize we have TWO other pieces with the same fabric en route... says they could replace all three... [probably 12 weeks late]. Of course, we have a living room with no furniture and we are expecting lots of family and guests in Sept...I considered this and asked how much could they discount this 6k order and they said cannot offer anything upfront or guarantee any delivery time or that they would be the proper items. I asked for full refund and they can pick up their two leather chairs instead and credit account. Too bad we signed up for a potterybarn credit card and paid the balance with cash. Manager says they would cut a check for the 4500 we already paid. Will keep everyone updated to see if we get the refund or if they try some other trick on us. DO NOT BUY POTTERY BARN. I put together and make a most basic bedding set a main wedding registry investment from their very reliable material with traditional style. The staff address any questions to build my collection of their current dishware offering.
I make a set of their basic stoneware items some of my wedding registry essentials. I follow through by methodically preplanning and forming action plan to search out, communicate across their national chain, build, and budget through leftover store funds as I save for what I consider my nearly full collection through all their options. I locate sale items and sometimes they nicely pack and ship when only nessecary as items break due to shipping. I work with them to find every dish style of the white, traditional, and heavy stoneware to hopefully be ready for any possible occasion. I locate and fully stock the basic multiple styles of drink ware option and serve ware choice and style. I wish their glasses washed and the stoneware was light and kid-friendly.

Read moreI had the absolute worst experience working with Christine W., Jodi, & Vivian D. I placed an order in July for four dining chairs. Delivery was suppose to be August 26th. That date came and passed. They quietly pushed back the delivery date to two weeks later. That day came and passed. This happened several times. No notice or warning from them at all. In fact the last correspondence I had with them at the time on August 26th was when they said the chairs are "finishing up and preparing to ship"...well that sadly didnt happen. At the end of every two week delivery window they quietly pushed back the delivery date another two weeks. The chairs were not delivered until October. They best part is that they delivered the wrong items. Items delivered were a lesser quality and dollar value. So I paid for a particular item, a more expensive item, than what I received...you think the refund/return would be simple right? WRONG! You think that they could simply refund the difference. WRONG! Several hours on the phone with multiple people and still no closer to resolve. They were incredibly rude on the phone, never responded to emails, failed to follow through on their promises and genuinely acted bothered by me reaching out to them for answers after all these major delays and issues.No responsibility, No accountability, Do not recommend, and would never use their services ever again.
