Me and 8 friends of mine had reservations for Put Shack in Pittsburgh on March 9,2024 for dinner at 4 pm and putting at 6:15. Reservations was made 2 Weeks in advance. Upon arriving I was told it would be a wait for tables because it was crowded. I informed them of our reservation and was told they would see what they could do. After about 10 minutes we were seated which was fine. The food and drinks were horrible, there was no soap or nothing to wipe your hands in bathroom, music was loud and couldn’t hear yourself talk At end of meal we were informed that we would only receive one check and each of our orders would have numbers beside them so we would know which bill belonged to which was not the case and we had to go line by line to figure out what belonged to who. Then putt time came. When we arrived at putting area our names did not appear on the screen and staff informed us that we had to add our names after we had pre-registered. Mean while putting area was in state of confusion, line was back up with several parties waiting to register and there was a long with people who was before us. At that point everyone was frustrated and we asked for manager to receive a refund. We were told there was no manager available. After being persistent about speaking to a manager we finally spoke with Melanie Fitzgibbon who assured us that she would process us a refund which we should see the next day. Well that never happened I called several times and was told each time that manager was not available. I emailed her and Steve one of the managers and received no response. I went back today Wednesday, March 13th when I got off from work and asked for a manager. The guy was super rude and acted as if I was bothering him. I didn’t get his name because it was not a good interaction from the start. He was super rude and condescending. Finally he took my reservation code and stated he would look into it and get back to me. At that time I told him that I heard that the day we were there and had called/emailed numerous times and several with no response. He then stated “well do you want me to help you or not”. I asked for some type of receipt stating refund amount and proof that transaction was being processed and he refused. Needless to say it went south from there. He asked me to leave establishment because he said I was making a scene. I then asked him if he had read their reviews because everything I had complained about was validated by others reviews. He stated he didn’t care and proceeded to ask me to leave numerous times. After seeing I was not getting nowhere with him I did decide to leave and decided I would call the corporate office. Don’t know who read’s/ responses to reviews but this place will never last if this is how you treat your customers. I advise everyone to not waste your time here especially on a Saturday, go to the Puttering for better food and a great experience. I did record the whole incident and will be posting online for...
Read moreI had a good interview experience with a recruiter and team member back in April 2025 for one of their marketing roles out of their Chicago office but I’m now realizing their hiring process is very disingenuous. After my second interview, I never heard from said recruiter or team member again despite sending a thank you note and followed up a couple times after my interview to inquire about next steps. Totally fine if they decided to move forward with other candidates, but would have appreciated a brief explanation as to why they decided to not move forward with my application after two interviews. Since my last interview in April, they have removed and reposted the role I interviewed for (once in May and again in July). At this point, it seems like they’re not looking to actually fill this role and maybe have a quota they need to reach for how many open positions they post each quarter or year. Very disappointing to see this sort of behavior from a company I thought was reputable given how bad today’s job market is. Sharing this as a warning to anyone who may be looking to work here in the future that some of their roles may not...
Read moreJust wasn’t a good experience. I signed up to take 9 people a week in advance but only ended up having 8. They would not give me my $14 back and told me to call corporate. Well, apparently you can’t call corporate. It’s very overpriced as well. The manager was a tad confrontational as well. I thought it would be a good place to take a group, but I will never do that again. It’s the kind of place that looks great to try out, but you’ll most likely never go back. Very...
