I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Chillicothe, Ohio Harbor Freight today (April 25th around 11:30 AM). While checking out at Counter #1, I politely asked to put back two items after changing my mind. Instead of handling this professionally, the cashier became visibly irritated and said, “You should have thought this through before you got up here.” I responded calmly with, “Probably, but I’m here now,” and to my shock, he abruptly canceled my entire transaction.
He then said, “I’m putting your stuff on the other counter and you can wait for someone else to serve you,” in an unnecessarily aggressive tone. Not only did he refuse to continue checking me out, but he also made no effort to get another cashier to assist me. I was left standing there for over 10 minutes until another employee noticed and kindly stepped in to help.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable—no customer deserves to be treated like an inconvenience. I’ve always appreciated Harbor Freight for its value and service, but this experience left a terrible impression. Read moreA lot of really nice and different tools. It's always clean and neat. Including the restroom. The whole store is brightly lit. Which is really nice. The reason for 3 stars. Instead of four or five. I always see three or four employees. Including the manager. Walking around together chatting about what to have for lunch or dinner or who knows what. That really wouldn't bother me. Accept! When I am trying to get their attention. And they act like it's a problem when I finally do. Then there is the awkwardness that comes from them having to decide. Which one Will stay and help. And which two or three get to carry on with their very important conversation. that I interrupted. I finally flag down the manager . who promptly! Turned me over to the one cashier that was already busy. I know I am not the only one that has encountered this. I helped two others who encountered the same problem as I. 1 of them purchased a very nice air compressor. Thanks to me. You're welcome Harbor Freight!...
