BrowOTR Microblading and Permanent Makeup Studio — Local services in Cincinnati

I have been contemplating microblading since I first heard about it, and about 2 years ago decided that I was going to do it. But I live out of the U.S. so I had lots of time to research microblading artists. Of course I came across the horror stories along with the good ones. I knew I would be in the Cincinnati area during the summer of 2018 so I started researching as soon as I had solid dates. I found 3 microblading salons in the Cincinnati area that had great reviews. I emailed all 3 and received responses quickly from all. Two of the responses were from the respective receptionists, and one was from the actual microblade artist- Honour Hook. I also sent pictured to all 3 salons so they would see my natural brows v my made-up brows. Only Honour responded to the photos, thanking me for sending them so she could have an idea of who I was, my face shape, and personal style. I decided fairly quickly that I was going with Honour. And I am SO happy I did!! The beautiful job she did on my eyebrows have revolutionized my life, literally. My morning routine is cut in half. I wake up feeling so much more confident, and if I have to leave the house without makeup on, I have confidence that I have not felt before. The experience itself was very much like I expected as I had researched it to death. She took her time mapping out my eyebrows and getting feedback from me as she went along. I am a natural blonde and the colors she blended is dead on. My brows look great and are so natural looking. Something that I loved was that she encourages washing your new brows numerous times each day for the first 10 days. And the balm she gave was so natural and healing. I had absolutely no scabbing or flaking and only very mild itching on the 5th day that lasted about 10 minutes. I have gone for my touch-up and she perfected what I thought was already perfect. Amaris is so amazing! I was very afraid to have micro-blading done because my ex-girlfriend had her brows done by someone who didn't know what they were doing and they were botched. I haven't had much in the way of eyebrows for many years. Between chickenpox and overplucking for that super thin line brow that was popular in the 90's, which never grew back, I looked, for lack of better words, like maybe I had undergone chemo or radiation or something. They have made me self-conscious for a very long time. I recently turned to Honor at Brow OTR for a Combo or Ombre Brow service and I absolutely love how they turned out! Honor took her time explaining the process before starting. She then proceeded to carefully measure and draw what she felt would be my best shape, allowing me to provide my feedback and preferences until we came to an agreement. We selected the color. She carefully cleaned and numbed the area and talked me through each step as she went, making sure I was pain free and comfortable the entire time. Today was my final touch up session and I am beyond happy with the final results. They will fade in color a bit in a few weeks as they did after the first session, resulting in a very natural color for me.
