....... Visited the store a couple of years ago with my teenagers..... I told them how great the store was.... Barrels of your favorite candy everywhere.... Grab a paper bag fill up that bag with your favorite candy.... The staff will weigh your candy and charge you by the pound...... Sounds wonderful right!..…. It sounds too good to be true and it is..... No more barrels of candy no more picking out your favorite candy and filling the bag up..... Everything that made me come to this establishment is gone..... How sad!..…... This very unique store has turned into....... A corporate Sam's club or Walmart...... Another One...

inLove this candy store. They do NOT ACCEPT FOODSTAMPS. However, they have decent prices, u can't ask for the price to be too low, everyone needs to be able to make money. I understand, and I appreciate the deals they do provide such as a 5 pound bag of sour gummy worms for only $12.50 Also, they have the rare hard to find,ZACKARY COMPANIES' VANILLA CREAM DROPS! I believe they cost $10 for a 3 pound bag. They have dark chocolate flavored Vanilla cream drops as well, not on my grocery list. Not a fan of dark chocolate, but to each their own! Locals and those traveling, I encourage you to put Minges Peter & Son's candy shop on the top ten places to visit in Downtown Cincinnati. The experience is nostalgic to say the least. Perhaps the experience is more intriguing than the candy selection itself. A subtle version of Willie Wonka's chocolate factory, you can't help but wander through the store looking and smiling because the candy reminds you of way back when. Children will love it.
