I give this place more than a five star rating. My Mr. was looking for a place that specializes in oysters for our 9 year anniversary. He stumbled on Court Street and read the reviews. He was sold and wanted to take me here. Originally he wanted to take me to Atwood but they were booked. I’m so glad we came here instead. We had reservations for Saturday night. It was super busy. Reservations are highly recommended. Kelly was our server and hands down one of the best. She was very attentive and down to earth. She took the time to go over the whole menu and answered all our questions . I love the vibe, atmosphere and decor! Very welcoming and beautiful inside. They do have outdoor seating as well. Their menu is mixed American-Italian-Mediterranean Fusion. It’s the best way I can describe. Mainly seafood but they do have vegetarian, Chicken and meat options. Also their dishes are tapas style. Which is shareable. Drink menu also paired well with the meals. Full bar. Here’s what we ordered:
Drinks: -231 Field Recordings Chenin Blanc Dinner: -Oysters of the day (6) east coast -Canada, west coast Washington state -Grilled oysters -Ahi tuna tataki -AGLIO E OLIO-Tagliolini, Garlic Olive Oil, Crushed Red Pepper -Branzino- grilled white fish with roasted potatoes, broccolini, heirloom carrot, finished w/ tomato and olive tapenade Dessert: -Olive oil Cake
All the meals came out in sync. I especially loved the oysters! We ordered the east and west coast. Very fresh and shucked to perfection. All the others followed by that was amazing! You definitely get what you pay for. Our branzino (mild fish) was delicious! You can go to place and always get salmon, but this you have to try because it’s unique. Last was our dessert! Unexpected and I was surprised! That was so nice of them to treat us to olive oil cake. Was so good! Thank you Court street Kitchen for taking care of us. Everything was incredible! I can’t wait to tell my friends and definitely coming back to try the other items...
Read moreWe had reservations for 6:00pm on a Sunday evening. It was the first time dining here for all four of us. The place is very cozy with blue hues and very comfortable booths and well-appointed restrooms. The servers were very friendly and attentive. I think we met every server, plus a manager maybe? during our dinner. 5 stars on service for sure.
Our friends started with a delicious white wine and I had a very nicely poured vodka and soda. We all ordered different dishes so we could share everything. We started with the Amarillo Ceviche (it was the last day on the menu), and the Ahi Tuna Tataki. The Ceviche was out-of-this-world good and took you directly to the Caribbean (can't wait till that comes back next summer!). The tuna was so fresh in the Tataki but the amount of red onion overpowered the fish. We would have preferred a much lighter preparation. The burger was good, but oversalted. All four of us agreed on that, and that the fries were excellent. The shrimp scampi was comfort in a bowl. The lemon chicken was cooked perfectly but the dish was salty as well. I ordered it with haricot verts instead of broccolini and got a generous portion of beans. It was one of the better chicken dishes I have ordered out. The stand-out of the night was the branzino. It was seasoned perfectly and cooked beautifully.
We ordered the lemon olive oil cake and tiramisu for dessert. Both were fantastic. The presentations were photo worthy as well. We...
Read moreWe eat out a lot. Some experiences are good. Some not so good, and some, downright awful. But, our first visit to Court Street Kitchen was special.
We had ten people in our party which, in itself, often spells disaster. That’s a lot of people to serve and keep happy. Our server, Marisa, was ever present, but never intrusive. The restaurant manager was watchful, but careful to never interrupt our table conversations. Have you ever had to search for your waiter, craning your neck as if you were looking for someone lost in a crowd? Not here. They fully understand the concept of “service”.
Let’s talk about food. My girlfriend’s diet is gluten free (GF). So many restaurants don’t understand the problem GF people have when eating out. Court Street Kitchen has many GF options. Our server noticed my girlfriend was not trying the bread that was served and, on her own, brought a basket of GF flatbread to the table. I mean, talk about paying attention. Wow!
The risotto was perfect. The salads were delicious and our entrees were served hot and cooked as ordered. Dessert choices were plentiful and so good.
Court Street Kitchen is definitely our new “go to” place. Read my other reviews and you will see that I can be very critical about service, food and atmosphere. This is an A+ dining...
