Krogers in general, not just this one, is increasing the number of self check out devices while simultaneously decreasing the number of cashiers and open lanes. Today at 6 PM, one of their busier, if not busiest, times there were only 3 cashier lines open. This is just one more thing in an ongoing string of things Krogers has done that will eventually result in my no longer being their customer. Really, the main reasons I shop there now are that they are a union shop and they don't have much real competition after Remke left. Already I make a once or twice a month trip to Jungle Jim's to buy products that I used to be able to get at Krogers until they stopped carrying them. If Krogers keeps cutting back on cashiers as well, I will probably just shop other places way more often and do the extra driving. I'm not a Krogers employee and don't want to pay Krogers to do my own checkout unless Krogers is going to give me an employee discount. It is all easily accessible....

There we no carts at all located inside the store for customer use. So I went to the customer service desk and asked for a manager to speak with. When I spoke with the manager about this problem and told him that without shopping carts inside the store that he would continue loosing customers because they don't have the proper equipment to put their groceries in. He didn't seem overly concerned about the lack of the shopping carts in the store. OVERALL LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE BY UPPER MANAGEMENT AT...
