Outback is our go to spot for dinner pretty often. We stopped in today for a quick lunch but today was different while sitting in the bar area watching the bartender run around taking care of all the tables in his area and the bar with absolutely no help what so ever. You could clearly see the were understaffed. While over hearing a few people complaining about how long it took them to get their food. But the worst of all is listening to the MANAGER in the kitchen first yelling at the cook. Yelling so loud for the whole restaurant to hear. Finally you hear him say JUST LEAVE JUST GO HOME. (From what I was told he was yelling at the cook after he asked for help so he sent him home.) REALLY ARE YOU SERIOUS. At least he asked for help. The manager is the one who needs help. Someone needs to teach him how to handle things under pressure. Not only did he let the cook have it he started going off on a waitress. John was his name. John doesn't deserve to be a manager of anywhere until he receives some training of his own. I get people call in or don't show up for work. But being 10 days from Christmas everyone is out holiday shopping or getting together with friends or family. This is the time you should be overstaffed.. If someone is doing something wrong an it needs to be addressed there is always a time an place for that an it's not in the middle of the kitchen yelling at your employees in front of everyone else an so the customers can hear it. We finished our meals took the cards to the hire manager an even tried to reach out to them as soon as we left. This was unacceptable behavior even for a manager. I hope something is done promptly because the employees don't deserve to be treated this way.
As for the food it wasn't the best but we understand they were busy an obviously they were having issues in the kitchen. Yes we will go back an hope for a better experience. We have had good experience there before an hope that it will happen again. Hoping someone can get the place running right again. An I will say kuddos to the employees who were going above an beyond an working through the awful working environment today. I truly hope someone came in to help them after we made our calls to the general manager. Time to step your game up Outback an become a good place...

I've been to many locations from teenager on up. This has been my local for over a decade. As a kid, the bloomin' onion was always FUN. As an adult, this is just a nice spot to gather with a few friends or family, and to also catch a game or two (or three or four at the same time).
I'm a MAJOR sports fan just as a hobby, and I love all of the games. Pictured is me just a couple of times with family, and also my version of a "Shoey" - HI AUSSIES!.
I've been to this particular establishment over 40 times, and have loved every moment. The folks who work here have always been friendly. Many guests have chosen this spot as the perfect date for years (see photos, and I hope it's OK to share).
The prices are always reasonable for higher-quality foods cooked to order. On the rare occasion that I have steak on the West Side, this is it (petit filet mignon, medium-rare) with a side of vegetables. Sometimes my sister and I will order the coconut shrimp with marmalade, because it reminds us of South Florida (where I was born), As a treat, I love the warm bread with the honey-whipped butter (no charge).
Sometimes we go for fun, but for typical dining - even for the healthiest of eaters - it's easy to find something healthy to order as well.
**Edited to add that you treated me like garbage yesterday evening. There’s three foot of snow and with the embarkments it’s 4’5”. I walked it mostly on foot. I respected your establishment. I even whispered into your ears when I saw the women’s toilet was clogged with tampons and paper towels. Had there been a plunger I would’ve...
Read moreupdate* I came back to write a new review. My first was 1 star because that was the worst possible. We have continued to try this location because we generally like Outback and it has never met expectations.... until today.
Blake is an exceptional server. Not only was he going above and beyond at every turn (ex. he washed app plates by hand for us because there were no clean plates) but we truly enjoyed every minute of interaction with him. He has an infectious and warm smile. My teen son that doesn't talk to anyone asked if Blake would work on his upcoming birthday so we could all laugh together again.
Good luck to you Blake in your future aspirations. We left today feeling like we gained a new friend and truly hope to see you again.
So, if you are reading this cross your fingers that he's working and request him.
To the managers... I hope you appreciate how lucky you are to have Blake representing your establishment. Team members like Blake are one in a million and should know they are valued.
2 years ago I'm giving up on this location. Everytime I've tried curbside has been a nightmare. A manager tried to make the last incident right but I never took her up on it. It's not about free food it's about getting what you pay for. Tried again tonight and again a mess. Ordered online and only part of my order went through. I found out when I arrived. I then had to sit there 20 minutes for my order and they didn't even offer a water...
