Worst Customer Service experience in 50+ years of doing business with Kroger...in this case, with the Clicklist/Pickup. 2nd time in a row I had to reschedule my pickup due to store issues. This time, again, the only person delivering orders was Ashley...poor thing was running ragged. Then she tells me the total came to 120 bucks and change - I said no, it was not...initial amount charged to bank was 70 and change....so she reworks the charges to 70.44 - nope, my receipt totaled $57 and change after digital coupons. So she went inside to get a gift card...Matt came out with a $15 gift card and advised that it would work out to be less than what my charges were supposed to be...yeah, sure, by 2 bucks. So, after 35 mins of dealing with this, I arrive home to find my ice cream all melty, my requested 3 green bananas haven't seen green in a week and 2 of my tomatoes squished. So, I called the store, asked for a manager. The person who answered the phone said they were all in a meeting, so I relayed the events to him when he asked if he could help. Then he has me hold while he gets someone who can assist me...on hold for almost 8 mins. Repeated my the story again, she apologized, said they were trying to improve. Advised her that the order pickers need to read the "special instructions" and when you indicate 'no substitutions' to stop substituting...and to get more than 1 person running the Clicklist/Pickup orders out to the customers. Ok, that's it - thanks for the vent Extremely...
Read moreWhile in the produce section this morning I noticed a bird, a robin, flying around, landing on lettuce, eating away. I notified the first employee I could find- two sections away in the bakery. They laughed. "Oh, it lives here! It’s OK, we can’t catch it with our bare hands." WHAT?!? Got in line to pay for the 2 items I decided to keep. All lines were long. Since I only had two items, I went to the self checkout. There are six registers. The line went all the way to the back of the store. 10-15 people deep. After I finally made my purchase, I went up to the Customer Service desk to let them know about the bird and long lines. The employee ignored me, head down, working on paperwork so he could leave on time. I know this because a coworker told him to go ahead and finish, that he’s clocking in shortly. The line grew behind me. I decided to just walk up to him. I let him know about the line to checkout. As he was actually directly in front of that isle I would think he’d notice. Nope. Just smiled at me, not interested in hearing my concerns. So I told him I’m going to notify the Health Department about the bird. I don’t normally shop at this location, and after today, I...
Read moreAs a 3rd shifter I was very disappointed in the store no longer being open 24 hrs..I understand the safety issues. With that being said you can longer go in and do your shopping, you now have to navigate around the personal shoppers and stockers, to find there are more out of stock items, and your deemed in their way.
So I decided to try to not get frustrated with the employees for doing their jobs, I would make things less frustrating and try the clicklist. Get off work pick up groceries no more long lines and angry cashiers! piece of cake...it was easy to set up, a little buggy to navigate site but manageable, placed order and checked out. I was given a pick up time of between 12 and 1. I received a call at 11:30 telling me they were busy and order would be ready 1 to 1 1/2 hrs after 1. SIMPLIER TO JUST SAY 230. So at 230 there is no email and order states still in progress. I called once again and was rudely told my order was ready at 12. So much for this being quick and easy. Managers response was I'm sorry we are busy. We credited the checklist fee.....Not...
