The Michigan Shoppe — Local services in City of Frankenmuth

It’s 11/17/2018 at 8:54pm and I’m writing this review because my family and I just ran in to spend money on gifts for someone with 10 min left before closing and so as soon as we entered I apologized before even being greeted because I picked up on her level of annoyance by the expression she made on her face. She responded to my apology with “yeah I still have to count my stuff” So if I could give this store negative stars for making my family and I instantly feel unwelcomed when all we wanted to do was get some Christmas shopping done while my husband is home from deployment I absolutely would. I used to love this store a lot, until I received expired goods. I received lotion that was expired, twice. Please, check your lotions and throw out the expired ones. Don't sell expired stuff! I didn't notice until I got home, which I live 90 minutes away. I put on the lotion and it had a strange smell to it. I looked at the bottle, checked the expiration date and it was expired. I was disappointed. I normally would give this a five-star reading, but having expired goods on your shelves and selling expired goods is a big No-No! I'm sure it was an honest mistake, but please make sure you are checking your inventory so that it is not...

This store has become a MUST visit each time we're in Frankenmuth. The owner is really passionate about rocks and Michigan products. I couldn't resist this unique combo of a copper mine core and smelted glass. They also included a copper mining map which was a pleasant surprise! Just tried Hanover chocolates for the first time and will definitely buy more next time we visit. A very Michigan store with awesome variety and a little something...
