UPDATE! star added because they replaced those awful takeout containers!! Thank you for listening! This is one of my favorite places in town I'll always give them a good review for their food it's absolutely amazing. Everything I've ever eaten here has been mouth-watering and tasty.  (brisket, ribs, chicken ect.) My only disappointment would be that they refuse to use any delivery service other than doordash (which is way overpriced and shady AF), I mean, how hard is it to just let Uber Eats or Milio deliver for you as well? Most if not all businesses in town do it. Also, their takeout packaging SUCKS. I get that they are trying to be sustainable but when you try to eat leftovers the day after, the paper from the container gets stuck in the sauces and cheese 🤮. They also make everything soggy because there's no way for the moisture to escape. I really wish the owners would reconsider the packaging maybe move to vented recycled plastic or some other coated sustainable material that won't have me peeling paper out of my macaroni and cheese when I eat my leftovers.

I work nights, walking past each morning I can already smell the the divinity that will be dinner or lunch. I was finally off able to experience this! Our server was attentive, made great recommendations, and was very knowledgeable. I don't like BBQ that's sauce heavy, (i.e. obscuring the true flavor of the meat). This was a perfect balance as far as a flavor profile: the BBQ sauce was not overbearing; you could appreciate both the meat and the sauce, as well as their harmony together. As far as price, well it's Saratoga. I felt the portions on the main dishes were bountiful and have plenty of leftovers. I feel for culinary prowess and portions, it was fairly priced. Ribs are obviously recommended. If you truly enjoy a good pork belly, this is in my top 3 (beating out some power chefs in NYC and LA!). Hot sandwiches were great. Literally everything we had was tantalizing to the eyes as well as the palate. Definitely worth the trip! 5 stars all around and my recommendations go with my singing praise for this gem!

Walked in to this place right after they opened for the day. I planned to get take-out and stood at the bar for a few min before someone came out of the back. The guy spoke to someone else at the bar and then just walked up to me and didn't say a word just looked at me. I ordered the Pastrami wrap (14.95) and a side of brisket.(9.95). After a pretty good wait I got my order. I will say the pastrami had a great flavor but for NY I was surprised that there so little in the wrap. In NY I have always gotten wraps that were packed with meat. The "Brisket" on the other hand was not appealing at all. It appeared as if it was taken from a pan out of the oven and for 9.95 I would have expected more than I got. First impression was the customer service isn't great. For this place being in Saratoga Springs I definitely expected better. You don't know unless you try it though. I definitely will not be returning as the service, price, and quality were just absent on my first visit.

Expected much, much more from such a highly rated barbeque restaurant...

Ordered a Combo for 4 w/ mac & cheese, cornbread and parmesan fries. Meats included were 4 chicken thighs, brisket and pulled pork. Reason for 2 stars?

3 of the 4 thighs were undercooked and pink/red in the middle, very raw in texture and appearance. Looked good on the outside, skin was crispy and appeared juicy, however they were inedibly raw in the middle. Wouldn't try again. Brisket was moist but flat on flavor. Fell apart nicely with every touch of the fork. Wouldn't try again with that taste. Pulled pork was also good, but had a lot of sauce mixed into the pork itself. Let the pork stand on its own and let your customers add sauce, as needed. Taste was good, regardless, but easy on your mix! I'd order this again, Mac & cheese was decent, panko breading is always a plus. Decent enough. Cornbread was sweet, moist, and the portion was big. Great side. Parmesan fries were dry, too lightly seasoned to call them parmesan anything, had a nice amount of sea salt on them. You can get parm fries better almost anywhere else. Dizzy sauce was for the wife, she liked it a lot. Sweet BBQ sauce had a horrible amount of vinegar in it, giving it a foul, strange smell. Probably would be tasty if that was fixed, but something was definitely wrong. Yuck.

Overall, the potential was there and the hundreds of positive reviews can't be totally wrong, so I'm assuming I caught them at the wrong time. Place was less than half full with customers, so it wasn't overly busy. If I give Dizzy's another shot, hopefully someone else is paying, but this doesn't feel anything like the 3rd ranked BBQ...

Dizzy? Yeah, the check sure left my wallet feeling that way.

Ordered ahead over the phone going with the Potato Skins, their "Famous" soup, and a Dizzy Chicken sandwich. In all the price for 3 menu items, before tip, came to a little over $37. There was an up-charge on any side with the sandwich besides chips, which I was not feeling so I went with the Parm Fries and those skins were nearly a quarter of the price of the bill. So yeah, pretty pricy for a solo customer.

But how about the quality? Well no complaints there, what I got was pretty great. The skins were loaded to the edge with a hefty helping of pulled chicken, the soup lived up to its famous title, and the sandwich was way more filling than I was expecting given how light it felt. I still think the price was a tad bit high, but maybe limit yourself to one entree and the soup and you'll find a more reasonable bill waiting for you.

The off-street parking is also nice given the location around can become pretty busy, though the entrance is a single lane and the curb has a pretty harsh incline to it which may result in a few low-to-the-ground cars scraping on the street on the way out.

The interior also had a light smell of cigarette smoke, which I believe was coming from some cooks who were taking a break outside the kitchen door at the side of the building and the smoke was being pulled indoors. Maybe have any smoke breakers stick to the back patio or at least close the kitchen door when they're...

Absolutely Spectacular! Dizzy Chicken Made Our Party Unforgettable! We hired Dizzy Chicken BBQ to cater our annual family Fourth of July party, and to say they exceeded our expectations is an understatement. From the moment they arrived, the professionalism and friendliness of the Chef himself (aka Justin) were top-notch. He handled the entire setup seamlessly, and the incredible aroma of barbecue quickly became the talk of the party. Now, let's talk about the food. The star of the show, the Dizzy Chicken, was out of this world! It was perfectly smoked, incredibly juicy, and literally falling off the bone. Every single person, from the kids to the grandparents, was raving about it. We also had their amazing tender ribs! The side dishes deserve their own praise. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, the cornbread was sweet and moist, and the green salad was the perfect fresh, tangy complement to the rich barbecue. They didn't just make great meat; they delivered a complete, delicious barbecue feast.Booking with Dizzy Chicken was one of the best decisions we made for our celebration. They took all the stress out of the food preparation, allowing us to relax and actually enjoy the time with our family. If you're looking for catering that will truly wow your guests, look no further. We're already trying to find an excuse to...
