Are you looking to get off Broadway and hang with the locals? The Local - Pub & Teahouse is one of those places that doesn't cut corners. The vibe is fun, warm, and cozy. They have a full bar with anything you like. We had two cocktails to see how good their mixology skills are, a vodka martini and a burbon Manhattan, and both were perfect! Their menu is elevated pub food with daily specials and some unique dishes such as the Irish Cuban sandwich. The food was fresh, homemade, and delicious! If I had to guess, they have a real chef on staff. Round all of this out with their impeccable service, and I have no choice but to give it five stars. Pro Tip: If your gluten free this place is a must visit.

Great pub food! The blackened green beans were just OK. The fried pickles were excellent. Full size deli style dill spears. Local farm burger was cooked perfectly. The Irish Cuban was huge and flavorful. Both came with a ton of fries. Deep beer menu cans and draft. The chocolate mousse bomb was the bomb. Our server Janelle was excellent. All in a great experience on a Thursday. Parking is a premium so plan on having to walk a little depending on the time of day and the day of the week. Definitely reccomend!

1/2 mile from the main strip its easy to get an outside table here, rotating beer on tap so always something new to try. For dinner I had Shepards pie (served in a cast iron pan), not quite like Ireland but was excellent! Hamburger was average, fries, very good. Waiter was very friendly and helpfull. In the Art district this hidden Gem would be over crowed and over priced if it were on Broadway. Next time I'm told there will be an hour wait for a table I will definately walk back here.

Came to have brunch with my family and was sat next to their dumpsters. It was lovely eating alongside the smell of dead fish and flies. For having seating outside, they have nothing to catch or deter the flies that are horrendous, I know outdoor seating comes with pesky insects but sitting next to trash didn’t help the situation (I had been for lunch outside before and sat elsewhere and didn’t have much of an issue besides the occasional bug)… Onto their food, I ordered eggs Benedict, which if you go anywhere for a classic Benedict it is usually the English muffins, poached egg, Canadian bacon, with hollandaise. Their eggs Benedict is just the egg with English muffin and sauce-extra charge for any meat (which they don’t even have Canadian bacon) last I checked that’s not called eggs Benedict. My partner ordered the breakfast skillet, rubbery scrambled eggs with no flavor at all. Lastly my daughter had French toast and that was the only decent thing we had to taste. Our waitress couldn’t be bothered with us and left us waiting to take our drinks for over 20 min. Typically I’ve been helped right away when dining here. It’s unfortunate due to living in the neighborhood wanting to enjoy a restaurant within walking distance but I will not be returning after...

We have been coming to The Local for years, maybe once every month to two months. We have been for dinner but we especially enjoyed brunch - the Bloody Mary’s and brunch kept us coming back…up until the last year. I’m aware there was/is a pandemic, places are short staffed, etc. but the consistency in the food, the cocktails, the service and the cleanliness of the entire place has slipped. The Bloody Mary’s started to taste watery and different every time even though it’s always the same dark-haired bartender whenever we visit. This past weekend I ordered eggs Benedict for the first time and was disappointed. This was actually the first time we waited a while for food, and it wasn’t busy. My food came out and the Hollendaise sauce, egg and English muffin were hardly warm. Home fries were delicious and hot UNTIL I poked one with my fork and there was a black burnt piece on my plate that was actually a dead fly. I debated and waited for our server to come back so I could tell her, but she appeared to be the only server and it was just a fly and I got over it. Everything is always…sticky and kinda dirty. The tables, the chairs, the menus, the condiments, sometimes the silverware. I think we’ll start looking for a new...

Just wanting your random food bloggers I sure am a foodie and there's nothing I hate worse than a food experience gone wrong. I went in I ordered a simple meal Buffalo chicken sandwich add cheese No pickles, French fries with gravy, And a caesar salad. The food is all great, It's the lack of listening that bothered me, My chicken sandwich loaded with pickles Upset me so I had them remake it The right way that I ordered it. They brought me back a fresh plate This time it was missing everything but the pickles weren't there either, My french fries missing gravy and cheese. When you bring back a mistake to fix a mistake it's time to leave. I hope others have not shared the same experiences me For I had to not eat, not pay and walk away. I think they need some better Listening skills and communication in this restaurant. Maybe as a blogger I'll try again one day. But as of right now truly disappointed going to find a new place...
