I'm usually the person to not say anything. However, today was strike 3 for poor customer service and overall store appeal. Walked into the mall and wasn't even greeted by the employees behind the counter. The only acknowledgement was the greeting from the waffling sewage smell throughout the mall (which has not been present ever single time over the last year). The floor still feel like you might fall through them at any given moment. The 2nd floor ceilings would be an issue for anyone tall. Being someone with neuropathy in my feet the stairs are a big challenge. Not sure why there is an elevator because it never works. Now on to the reason I will NEVER shop there again. Which is a shame because there are some wonderful vendors at this mall. I found what I was looking for and headed to the counter to pay for my haul. There was a glimmer of hope from the wonderful tall lady with dark hair floor walking today. She was absolutely wonderful. Proceeded to the front counter to pay. Given lack luster greeting from "Karen" wearing the red glasses. She started ringing up my items. Shortly there after another customer walks up to the counter. She stops ringing me up and goes back to the other register to complete their transaction. In my opinion if you get out of line to step away and do something else, there should be a reasonable expectation that you might have to wait. Another lady behind the counter finished the task she was doing and stepped in to complete my transaction. This is when things get interesting. The wonderful goddess that was floor walking offered to wrap some of the items I was purchasing. The lady ringing me up was glad to have the help. Goddess starts wrapping the items on the counter that had been processed. Confirming before proceeding. "Karen" stopped what she was doing and came over to the other registered to scold the floor walker for helping. The floor walker explained that she confirmed that said items had been processed. To which "Karen" rudely replied, it doesn't matter, put it down, if we miss something we have to pay for it! I was so embarrassed for the floor walker because all she was trying to do was help. She looked so defeated and hurt. Not to mention the lady ringing me up was so flustered and shaken she missed ringing up the cups I was purchasing. Being honest I let "Karen" know they had been missed and I wanted to pay for them. She looked shocked that I even mentioned it. She then went on to redremand the original cashier. This is the kicker. The cups cost $2 each. Vendor number was 2225. "Karen charged me $2.25 per cup. You better believe I made her correct the mistake. There needs to be some customer service training. Not to mention some type of communication given to the vendors volunteering their time what the counter processes are at the store. It's a shame that this happened and in front of customers. I may just be one person not coming back to shop. However, if enough people have this experience of poor customer service....it won't be long before the business closes. "Karen" if you are the owner......DO BETTER!! Fix the elevator and the sewage issues...
Read moreI’m not the kind of person who usually writes bad reviews. I actually used to run a website devoted entirely to amazing customer service experiences. And so I’d like to say the nice thing first. This is three floors of wonderful antiques. You probably wouldn’t want to miss it if you’re an antique shopper. We bought some really great things here. But the customer service was shocking. We had come to Cleburne for the first time just to shop. And this was our 4th stop. We’d gone to Antique Findery and Two Sisters Antiques and then to eat lunch at Our Place and everyone we came into contact with was just so kind and welcoming. But the two women behind the counter at Red Horse were so rude and condescending. I thought maybe it was me. Maybe I said something wrong (although I really hadn’t said anything…I was just checking out). Maybe they were unhappy they were working on a Sunday or on Father’s Day. But one of the women scolded me like I was a 4-year-old. I’d asked about something on the receipt (I didn’t know what something meant) and she held up the tag 5” inches from my face and said “that’s what the tag says.” Still I thought it was me. My first instinct is to think something is my fault. But then my mom, who IS the nicest person in the world, brought up a water pitcher that had an internal crack inside and told them she was worried someone might get glass in their drink. They were the same with her. Literally, the way they spoke to us was like they were speaking to misbehaving children. Not grown women who’d just spent over $100 in their store. It was so shocking that I didn’t go back for the $48 book I was debating on getting. I wouldn’t go back there, probably. But I have to say again…there are over 100 booths there. And some really lovely antiques. Maybe they were just...
Read moreWhen I went in a vendor over a year ago, I want told about the 1 day a month work requirement, nor the 5% fee on everything. When they enforced the 5% I just went with it, then several months later, they enforced the workday fee, I just went with it. The newer owner initially was open to listening to criticism about how it was run and seemed open to doing some real marketing. He even paid me a consultancy fee for coming in a describing how to use livestreams. After several months he got someone to do livestreams who only showed cheap items of no particular interest to anyone I can think of and had the camera on herself a lot of the time. Instead of drawing people there, it gave the distinct impression that the store was basically an indoor garage sale. After asking repeatedly that she show antiques or my pocket watches, I commented sarcastically on the live stream post. When the owner saw it, he kicked me out of my spot with no notice, boxed up my stuff and refused to converse with me on facebook messenger where I asked him to reconsider. There is some decent items here, but from a vendors perspective, unfortunately, the owner is the type to do what he did, even though he told me he agreed with me and that he was making a change on the livestreams....
