UPDATE: Got it resolved Bought an item from the store in the new City Goods Hangars (Old's Cool Vintage + Thrift) during the holiday season and explicitly asked the lady at the counter if I could return the item and she said yes. She even printed me a gift receipt for the purchase in case the person didn't like it. Showed up to return the item and they told me they don't have a return policy and all sales are final. There are no signs in the store or by the register that say all sales are final, the lady working the teller didn't say it either. It only says it on the receipt AFTER you've already bought the item (at which point you can't return it). When this was brought up to the manager at the store, he interrupted and said the teller would "speak to it" (the return policy) and left it at that. He seemed very annoyed (I’m assuming he thought we were lying or trying to scam them) and completely ignored what we had just said by saying the teller would say that all sales were final- even though we just explained that the teller assured us we could return the item. So the customer is the one who has to deal with the issues no matter what and the manager was not helpful and rude. They agreed to an exchange for an item of equal or lesser value, but there were only 2 other items in the section we were allowed to go through that were of equal value so we got something of lesser value (and paid almost double for the new item since they wouldn't give us the difference between the original item and the new item). We had been very excited to shop here and wanted to support local businesses but it seems they have some issues to work out. Although both of the tellers at the counters were very kind, they both gave us wrong information (the first about the return policy and the second that we would get back the monetary difference), and the management did nothing to solve the issue leaving us to deal with the loss - and instead became annoyed that we even brought it up. I do not recommend...
Read moreI first discovered City Goods in April 2023 as a customer. The concept, selection of product, and friendly staff made me feel like I was experiencing the beginning of an iconic Cleveland experience and shared it with my friends.
Fast forward to October 2023... I opened up my very first retail space at City Goods to sell my art (JToth Art). I continue to be amazed at the vision, quality curation, and sales team that take ownership of the brands in each hangar.
Go visit CIty Goods, discover something unique, make it yours and support local artists/small business owners as we...
Read moreWent for some holiday shopping last weekend. Some places have cute stuff, but everything is pretty pricey. Reminds me of Van Aken, fun to visit but hard on the wallet. BUT... BE CAREFUL. Parking is not easy. After an hour I came back to a smashed car window that set me back $300. This area is sketchy. Woke up today to hear on the news someone was shot literally on the corner there and left in the middle of the street. At 5 pm. in the afternoon! Sorry, but until things are a little safer, I...
