After Rebecca & I stood in there for quite a few minutes and placing our entire order, they informed me because I’m carrying a firearm. We are not allowed to sit down and everything has to be to go. Therefore, I told them never mind. I’m not gonna spend my money somewhere, That’s gonna treat me like that over a holstered firearm. We drove over an hour to try this place & no matter how bad I would like to try it I would not spend my money somewhere like that! So keep that in mind plant based 2A supporters.. Plus seeing an open holstered firearm should make you feel comfortable, that there’s no threat & me trying to cover it up who knows what that means I think hiding it looks worse if accidentally seen but I get it out of sight out of mind. Either way they should’ve had signage posted before denying us to sit down. I’ve been openly caring for nine years everywhere I go. We are heading to Bodhi Express because we always have a great experience and they don’t have a problem with my firearm. We also goto Cleveland vegan & black market meats, which supplies them with all of their plant-based deli meat. Also Booms & Ohio pie, Never have I had an issue with my open carried firearm. Since they feel that way, they need to have signs posted, And I would’ve covered the firearm up. I understand as a private business you have the right to not welcome firearms and the patrons carrying them, but that should’ve been the first thing said when we walked in don’t let us place the order and almost pay before mentioning it has to be to go. It was our ninth anniversary, so I really appreciate that. We walked in with smiles on our faces, polite & told them it was our first time coming and that’s how you treat a paying customer. Absolutely unprofessional in the fact that they didn’t notify us right away, we were excited and looking forward to trying the food we selected, but there is no way I’m going to give a business money after they just did that to us! I gave them a card that is provided from Ohio gun owners, and they will now be added to the list of non-friendly...
Read moreI was so excited to try this place, as someone who appreciates good branding, good matcha, and works in coffee - I've been following Beet Jar for a while and had to stop while in Cleveland. Visited this AM with 4 friends to grab a bite to-go, since we had a larger group and didn't expect to find table space on a Sunday. No prob whatsoever. 2 guests ordering at the counter when we walked in, we lined up behind them and were asked to move the line in a different direction - no prob. We were then told to take the line outside, as the manager I assume, propped the door open. We were all a bit confused as we were frantically ushered outside, but again I understand - except that we stepped outside, and there was no one else in line at the register. So we walked back in and ordered, & all of the baristas were super friendly and helpful! We were checking out the retail wall once we ordered (which was very well curated and I would have probably ending up grabbing something else) if it weren't for the manager again telling us to go wait outside. Okay, except that it was 85 degrees so it was nice to cool off for a sec. We stood outside and waited, and our food and drinks came quickly and everything was insanely good - matchas, sammies, parfaits. Freaking bomb. But such a weird and off-putting experience being shooed out of a cafe multiple times when we were already taking our order to go and were not all clumped together blocking walkways. Not typically one to write a novella like this but it was just so odd. I believe it was well intended but came off super...

What sets them apart is their authenticity—what you see in their Instagram posts is exactly what arrives on your plate. One of the highlights of Beet Jar is their incredible specials. Every single one I’ve tried has been nothing short of remarkable—honestly, some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Today’s special, the Big Beat Burger, is just one example of how they consistently knock it out of the park. Their specials are creative, expertly crafted, and always leave me wishing they were part of the regular menu.
The care and love they put into every dish is undeniable, and it shows in every bite. Unlike other places that charge the same but skimp on portions, Beet Jar sets the gold standard for value and quality. From start to finish, they set the bar incredibly high and whether you're vegan or not, Beet Jar is a must-visit. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and stop by—you...
