This place has to be Cleveland’s best kept secret. The location is insane being that it’s across the street from Public Square (and the associated RTA Hub) and a walk away from many of the downtown culinary staples such as Blue Point, Cleveland Chop, Mabel’s and Barrio. Nightlife is at your fingertips—it’s about a 9 minute walk to the Flats. It’s a few minute car ride to Ohio City, Westside Market and Playhouse Square in the other direction. I can spend the morning in the Muni Lot, take the 7 minute walk back to warm up and then walk back to go to the game. If you have a Dog(s), they will thank you as you are across the street from greenspace. It’s a location made possible only because they were able to procure and convert a former Commercial-building into Residential space which has provided the opportunity to live in the literal city center as opposed to the periphery. With that said, I’ve seen other Commercial-conversions and they feel like Commercial-conversions in both good, urban ways and sub-optimal ways in that the spaces that were rendered out of the footprint felt awkward and never shook the identity and feel of its original intended use. Not so here. In fact, that the building was originally built-out as a Commercial space has clearly provided it sound-advantages in that the heavy-industrial materials and substrates provide a sound dampening effect. That was one of my major concerns: sound. What is it going to sound like at night when living in the heart of the city? No issues. In fact, surprisingly quiet all things considered. Also, the spaces are cozy. They are just really thoughtful, open floorplans and the high ceilings coupled with the mid-level to ceiling windows create a panorama of the city. The amenities are excellent. The communal area is amazing with a couple fully appointed kitchens, flatscreens, a Shuffleboard table and floor to ceiling windows with a view of downtown. The gym has everything you need from Treadmills, Stationary Bikes, Free-weight Dumbbells, a Leg Press!!, Leg Extension, Cable-machine and some other things, and most importantly this is commercial-grade equipment. It is cringey working out on flimsy, consumer-grade equipment—you know what I mean. It’s supposed to be a brutal winter so it’s nice to know that I don’t have to drag myself out into the cold unless I absolutely need a squat rack. They just partnered up with a Dry-cleaner for next-day drop-off/pick-up, because even though none of us wear pants for Conference Calls anymore, the shirts must appear laundered 😊 Very excited for the Restaurant and Bar that is going in this Spring/Summer. After a long day, it’s going to be so nice to just be able to swing down and grab a bite and a drink, or even just drop down during lunch. The Market that is going in on the ground-floor is going to be nice as well, though that does mean that my diet is toast *padum tsskk!!* Accessibility to the Parking Garage was another concern of mine which turned out to be an absolute nothing-burger. I can get from my door to my car in about 2ish minutes and I love that it’s covered parking. The Parking Garage Management, ABM, does a great job and the NFC?/RFID? sensors for the Parking Passes work seamlessly. The Management here really is the best—Mykala and Rita just have this genuine openness and warmness about them that I got from the first e-mail I sent inquiring about a tour. They are just unassuming people by nature, clearly enjoy what they do and have pride in the building and what they’re creating. It’s just extremely important, maybe more important than anything else to see friendly, familiar faces and feel genuinely welcomed after coming in from the city. You get that from Management, you get that from Maintenance and you get that from the Front Desk (shout out to Bill and John!!) Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Honest Review after having more than 20 tours in Apartments in Cleveland After seeing more than 20 apartments while searching for a new place in Cleveland, I can say with confidence that the best service I received during all the tours was, by far, from Brian. I am a foreign physician from Brazil, I have been living in Cleveland since last November, and now I will be moving to a new apartment. In other tours, I experienced situations where there was a certain lack of care, or the person handling the apartment rental seemed very uninterested, as if it didn’t matter to them whether you rented or not. Brian, on the other hand, is a very kind, cheerful, and enthusiastic person, and he made me feel very comfortable from the moment I walked into the building until I saw the apartment. When I mentioned to him the challenges of being a foreigner here, he didn’t dismiss them—he understood them. So I would say that his service was quite decisive in my decision to move into this building. From a technical standpoint, I’ll highlight some features that Re-Residences at 55 offers compared to other apartments. 1. The finishes in the kitchen and the windows are excellent compared to other buildings I visited, which either had an industrial style or poor-quality finishes on walls, floors, and so on. 2. The units get plenty of sunlight, with large windows, which is especially important in Cleveland since winters come with long periods of limited daylight. I believe this will be a very significant factor for me. 3. The gym is very complete and has many machines that are often missing in other places. For example, they have both the leg extension and the hip abduction machines. In addition, there is a shower inside the gym, and everything is very clean and well-organized. 4. I was also very impressed by the environment and the type of residents in this building. I noticed that it is pet-friendly, and I saw many dogs coming in and out, which is extremely important to me because it reflects a modern and welcoming mindset among the residents. In addition, there is a strong presence of young people and very polite individuals. 5. The last point, which I consider essential and which most of the other 20 buildings I visited did not have, is 24-hour security. Moreover, the elevators only stop at your own floor and cannot stop on others, which adds an extra layer of safety. 6. Another important feature is that there are trash rooms on every floor, something that is also not always available in other buildings.

The maintenance team here at Residence at 55 is seriously the best. For the past month I have been trying to hang up a mirror on my own and the other day spent like 3 hrs trying with my mom. I talked to Matinence and they offered to help even though this doesn't fall under a typical Matinence request. They were both super great and helpful. I really appreciate them going out of their way to help me. Def made my week!

Moved in October & I’m giving the property a 3/5 as of today because the winter here has been brutal when it comes to my apartment staying warm I have to have the heat on 78+ to stay warm I think the insulation is very poor never had this experience in other apartments downtown & I even had more windows I don’t have a high rise that’s surrounded by windows so it’s very frustrating to have a cold apartment all the time especially since you have to pay hvac + electric so bill may be higher during the colder months & my bed room is always way warmer than my living area so I have to keep the heat off & on throughout the night had a few ppl stay with my to see if it’s just me but everyone agreed that it’s colder in my living area & warmer in my room besides that the building is beautiful I don’t hear too much outside noise the workout area has new equipment tvs etc. Maintenance has been very speedy if I ever needed something! RITA IS THE BEST SHES AWESOME literally very kind very personable & she handles things quickly & honestly…she was such a great help to me with my transition, Fahrenheit is connected to the building there’s a entrance door on the second floor but it’s always locked asked a few of the employees at the restaurant when the doors are accessible and nobody truly knows it would be convenient in the winter especially thought it was a cool perk when I first moved but it’s never open I’ve checked at different times of the day several times & only got lucky once the months since I’ve been here ummm what else ? I love the apps the apartment provides it’s very updated the front desk & security have been very helpful as well it’s always someone at the front, parking is expensive which is abm it’s always clean but the elevator have been down often maybe 10 times in the past 4 months I’ve been here ill come back in the spring & see if I cab change my rating to better one

UPDATE: 2/22/24 my vents were fixed in a timely manner and I am no longer experiencing a shift in heat the staff fixed it and I am grateful for that & how fast it was done also Rita checked on the matter several times to make sure everything is okay so my review has...
