United States Postal Service — Local services in Cliffside Park

experience has been fine on site but local carriers are lazy, unprofessional and lie through their teeth. Do not buzz into apartments for signed confirmations, state that nobody answered and that they left a notice and meanwhile we can be in and out of our building lobby every hour with somebody listening at the buzzer and we don't see them and they never ever leave slips either so we have to hope and pray our items come in safely or take matters into our own hands. UPS, Fedex, Amazon all leave their absentee slips, their staff is courteous and acknowledges you and amazon even carries your items to your door. Many tenants here have had envelopes and boxes opened by our carriers, packages delayed and delayed and then sent in damaged. iPhones, MacBooks, family heirlooms, sensitive documents, everything. The mail carriers of the Cliffside Park Post Office station are the worst of the worst and have no appreciation for the benefits they receive from their position nor the faith placed in them by the citizens that their paychecks come from. The tenants of 464 have filed complaint after complaint and it is not getting any better. 0/5 stars if I could. A shame on the fine civil servants that...

The single worst post office in the United States. I will go to Fairview, Fort Lee, even North Bergen to send mail, but I won’t go to Cliffside Park again. I made the mistake of giving it a chance again the other day, and I was once again sorely disappointed. I went around the block twice to find parking. Once I did, I went in and their was NO ONE inside. The parking lot is full of EMPLOYEES CARS.

I then stood there for a solid 3 Minutes before someone came out and I startled them with my presence. In the post office. In the middle of the day. She told me someone would be out to help me soon. Another person comes by and is startled by my presence. Once again, in the middle of the day, in the post office. She also says someone will help me in a moment. Then she goes in back and screams that there are customers in the front.

I walked out and won’t be going back. I just can’t anymore. Life is too short to waste, waiting for stupid people to get...

Careful when setting up mail forwarding. They will ignore EVERYTHING and then tell you they don’t know where your mail is. I set mine up 2 weeks ago to begin mid July and haven’t seen ANY mail at my existing address since. It’s definitely not at my requested new address. When I called to complain they couldn’t even give me a straight answer. The only thing they said was they saw my request to begin forwarding at a future date and most likely someone didn’t want to do their job and would take 15 days for my mail to be forwarded… but I never asked for it to be forwarded!!! I don’t like to pay bills online as my personal info can get easily hacked when I do so so now I’m forced to pay “late” penalty fees and miss out on important time sensitive letters because of the screw up of the local post office. It’s no wonder why it’s slowly going out of business.
