The good things of this apartment is just location close to campus and furnished. However, the bus route is often late. For international student and family, it is very expensive ( increasing every year), the contract is unfair, they asked us to do renewal on december to tie us on the next year( probably that is our fault because we lack of informations, we are new, that the fact is many other better place so I write this review for you). However, usually on summer and spring, there are a lot of offer from other better place. Trust me, if you are international students and have no idea about apartment, just look from off campus area first because unfortunately in America there is no such close place ( walking distance) so you still need to go by bus and a lot of apartments are in the bus route. For the same price, you can get better facilities from others, such as swimming pool, better fitness facilities, bigger room ( from the same price even lower you can get 2 bed 2 bath rooms and in gardens you only get 1 bed and 1 bathroom), also you have to pay extra for car parking ($320 ish per year and it may increase every year). If you want to buy furniture, you can get from facebook marketplace and it is quite cheap so you do not have to worry because at least the other apartments have refrigerator, oven, and stove. Also, some of the maintenance guy here is not polite, they come quite fast but they nag during working on his job. So, I WILL NOT recommend you guys to live here because there are a lot of better places outside which have better facilities and much more cheaper with flexible and...
Read moreUpdate: Paul, the current manager here forged my initials on an official document less than two years ago. The university stated no harm was caused so no record correction, though they admitted Paul forged my initials. I reported externally to multiple channels today.
I see from previous reviews that I’m not the only one complaining about the residence manager Paul. I’ve been living here for 9 years and had a few interactions with him, and none of them were positive. The first few times I thought it was just he was in a bad mood, but it’s impossible that he’s in a bad mood all the time, so it is just his unprofessionalism. This guy keeps contradicting his own words and even once put my initials on official documents without my consent. If he ever does anything that is not strictly mentioned in the contract but slightly nice, even though it would require minimal effort from him, he would act like he did you a huge favor. The apartment management should know that he would be one of the first few people some new students would interact at A&M, and at least a generally friendly manner would be expected. The apartment itself is good. Close to campus and has a lot to offer. Maintenance used to be quick and reliable, but it took them a month to fix my wall and change the dishwasher that was not functioning well, so it’s getting worse. I would give a 5 star rate 3 years ago, but...
Read moreVery close to campus, and shuttle buses come around the clock to get you to campus in a timely manner. Be sure to apply early, because if you don't get the premium apartment you will not have a washer/dryer in your unit and you'll have to use the community laundromat (sucks if you live on the 2nd or 3rd floor). The rooms are pretty spacious but very dorm-styled bedrooms and the the patios on the first floor don't have a gate. The staff is pretty friendly but they lacked in communicating important information to me: I moved into the apts this past January and wasn't aware that I had to renew my lease for the following year at the start of this past February. I only had 2 weeks and never received an email to inform me to renew. Didn't find out until a couple of days ago(July) and now they no longer have rooms available. Maintenance is slow and I had a pretty bad gnat problem. Find another apt for the same price range if you can! More amenities at...
