Let me just start off by saying I had expectations before coming since I had a coworker that got her hair done here. My hair was already half blonde and I wanted to do the top part of my hair and go lighter which shouldn't be the most difficult thing.
The day before I got my hair done, I put coconut oil on it like I always do when I go to salons. But the hairstylist insisted on washing my hair, twice, before bleaching it. Now I didn't say anything because my coworkers hair looked nice and figured she knew what she was doing but I was completely wrong.
Honestly it just went downhill from there, Hollie left the bleach on my head for a long time, mind you it was burning so bad I wanted to pass out and she just threw sugar on the top. The toner was even worse and it wasn't even supposed to burn. My scalp was burned and flaking for weeks after that.
My hair suffered a lot of breakage and it completely ruined my hair. I left the salon looking like Draco Malfoy mixed with the color of a banana laffy taffy, which sounds funny but my hair looked terrible. The worst part about all this is that Hollie told my coworker she didn't know what she was doing with my hair and was guessing it and winging it as she went. Because of this my hair is extremely damaged and there are spots on my scalp that haven't healed.
You'd think that a hairstylist would know what she was doing but nope. This was by far the worst salon experience of my life and I'm stuck with this damaged hair because she wasn't professional and just "guessed along the way". I highly recommend people staying from this place and especially Hollie. I basically paid...
Read moreI don't usually leave reviews like this, but... I don't know what happened here. This is where I went for haircuts for years, and used to trust what i was told by the hairstylists at D'Llands. I came in after a long break, and showed them a picture of a layered, medium-length look. I know my hair is fine, I told them so, and asked if they thought it was possible to do this style. They said yes. They cut my hair way, way shorter than I thought they would. I'm talking 14 inches off, and I didn't even know how short it was going to be until it was too late. I thought it might still be okay, so long as I got something similar to the style I showed them. After I confirmed I didn't want it any shorter, some "layers" were added. But my hair looked blunt and flat, so I asked if I could get more layers. I was told no, it would look better once it was styled.
It did not look better. I just wanted to get out of there at that point, and didn't want my hair to look worse, so I paid and tipped and left. I am not a person who even cares all that much about their hair, but it made me feel terrible. In the week after, I kept trying to style it, and make it work, but it looked flat and thin no matter what I did.
I had to go to a second stylist, at a different salon. She was able to give me the layers I asked for, and showed me how to style it. She also pointed out that my hair had been cut unevenly, which at that point, was just adding insult to injury.
I can't recommend this place any longer. I genuinely don't know what happened, but this was the worst experience I've ever...
Read moreI had an appointment with Tiffany Thursday of this week. I understand my appointment was @ 10, I had written10:30 on my calendar so when I arrived I was told I was late but Tiffany said come on, so I did that thinking she had time for me, first mistake. I had an iPod and showed her the way I wanted the back done. I had beautiful bob hairdo and I wanted it layered with some of the length cut. Then we talked about the front and she said got it, I have been a stylist over 25 yrs. Tiffany did not explain she was in a hurry, I guess she had another appointment at 11:00. She skipped the shampoo and I said ok because I washed my hair before I came. She had me sit where I could not see the back. She literally cut it very short layers, NOT a bob! The front is short like an old lady hair cut. I did not want to make a scene. But I have come to regret it I HATE looking in a mirror. It will take months and months to grow to sort of a decent look. I am...
