Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Columbia Township

The last two times we have tried to go to this location we experienced very poor service. This location was installing equipment, however could see the employees, full staffed, lights on, should be open. However instead of any one of the staff that was outside, chatting and having fun and smoking cigarettes taking a second to acknowledge us, not one employee stopped, they were to busy to even indicate to us they ar closed. We sat and waited at the kiosk, not knowing the status, that they were not open for business. We were just ignored. How hard would it have been, where was the manager, no one had the common courtesy to say we're closed, instead of totally ignoring us, just letting us wait. The second time we were there, they completely did not get any of the order correct for the sandwich. FORCED Kindness was insinuated when she again repeated his order back to him twice, she still was unable to correctly order the sandwich, causing us to sit and wait for her do her job correctly, for the second time... no customer care, inexperienced, inept people, just don't care about...

This sonic has changed my world. Kody and the whole staff are the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. They nearly come out with a skip in their step ready to serve you your food and drinks with the happiest attitude it’s as if they come out floating/dancing with the biggest smiles to hand you your food. When you order with the app they greet you by name as if you’re an old friend they see everyday who they’re so pleased to see again. If there’s a place in Columbia that is the show Cheers this is it. I feel so welcomed and warm here and the interaction is shorter than that of a restaurant yet they make the most of it with their kindness. I drive farther just to go to this sonic and I will continue to drive farther for the service I get. My order has never been messed up, if you forgot something they happily go back and ring you up for it and let you know an estimated wait time. Currently sitting at this location, noon, 12/28/22 watching the guy with glasses in the blue shirt/hat work his butt off (as I usually see him doing this) while the woman working with him has a terrible attitude to people over the speaker. I’m a server so I get customer service, and she has zero professionalism. She was getting mad over the speaker because she already brought sauce out to the car next to me, and they asked for more. I’ve watched two people walk inside because she hung up on them. Dude in blue should get a raise for covering this entire Sonic’s reputation because that woman is about to ruin it and he is putting out her fires, praise him lol pick better employees, otherwise you’re going to burn out the good one you’ve already got. And give blue shirt guy a raise because he is doing the work of 2 people. Will give 5 stars when I see this location choose...
