Stopped in with a crew I was transporting for a meal, on a sunny afternoon. Five Guys is an experience as well as a treat, but I can assure you, it's not an inexpensive one, but it is worthwhile.
Everything I looked at is ala carte on their menu. This is a fair warning to the uninformed. It is also plentiful on order. If you order a large fries, you're gonna get what is pretty much a family order of fries. Unless you're really hungry, with a huge appetite, you might wanna step it down a notch.
I ordered a BLT, just to try something different there. The BLT is served on a burger bun, and condiment options are available. It had a nice pile of bacon, crisp lettuce, and a nice amount of tomato on it. The bite was excellent, and delicious. I had the Medium fries, with Cajun seasonings. They were hot and moderately spicy to my palate, but I'm a spicy foods guy. The fries are skin-on, served piping hot, in an overflowing cup. The entire meal filled a standard lunch bag. Not like a McDonald's, where they often serve a medium fry in a large cup, and a meal is mostly bag.
They offer burgers, fries, BLTs, and large hotdogs on their menu. Everything we had was top-notch good. There is plenty of seating, and with "free" tables and chairs, which can be arranged for large parties as needed. They offer fresh peanuts as a nosh, in-shell, so those with nut allergies, be aware.
There are also tables for outside dining. Disabled parking and ramp in front of the door, and plenty of window space for a view over Broadway and the shopping...
Read moreI tried calling in an order, no answer. I ordered curbside pickup, the app says call the store upon arrival. I called, no answer. I went inside, to tell them I arrived, they said they are making the order so I waited. It took an hour from the time I walked in restaurant to the time I existed. There were 4 people on shift. It was after 1pm and I can't imagine how long it would take if I had ordered delivery. The restaurant had about 20 people sitting inside and outside eating. It did have about 6 people waiting to order, upon my arrival. They completed 3 small orders while I was waiting. The cook was standing around. The guy dressing burgers was helping him, like how hard is it to put patties on the grill? If you are busy, load it up. The girl taking orders had stopped to help the guy dressing burgers, causing them to bump into each other,, confuse each other and the cook. Two people returned with incorrect food items. The girl working the fry area was clearly keeping up and waiting on the others. Maybe if each one did their own job, they would have been faster. Who was doing the delivery and curbside pickup? I...
