Our group had a good time overall in the Houdini room. It was appropriately challenging and the staff was friendly. However, we did find that a few of the puzzles struggled to function properly (to the point in which the game master had to stop the clock and come into the room at one point). In addition, I understand wanting to have some bits of the room act as time wasters, but it seemed as though some of them in this room were excessive. I shall not go into detail to avoid spoiling the room for future players but time wasters are less understandable when they are given as clues with clear indication that they should be important. Finally we did find that many of the puzzles were a bit disjointed. We had an overall goal at the beginning but many of the puzzles seemed disjointed from advancing the established storyline. At the end of our experience we were told that was it and left, no picture anything which is typical for most rooms I have been in. The room itself was awesome! Challenging, but very fun and keeps you on your toes.

The bad: When you make your reservation you are asked to be there 15 mins early to do the release forms, my party showed up 20 mins early as we had finished dinner & gotten back to the location a little earlier, the gentleman that was running the place did not seem happy that we’re were 5 mins early. He had a very smart a** attitude, saying “we didn’t except you this early, you were asked to be here 15 mins early not 20 mins.We were fine waiting until the scheduled time, but he did not seem happy we were there early. This place was the worst place I’ve been to very poor customer service, rude staff, no good hints and if you don’t understand what is the hint they are giving you they won’t try to explain it again horrible horrible “ensure our customers have the best time “ my 4$$. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. You’re whole day will be wasted and messed up. If I could give this place a 0 stars I would absolutely love that.
