Just want to share what happened to me today. I had heard horrible Stories about Kay's Jeweler's, and how bad they are. Well let me Just say. I went in with only a hope and a prayer. My husband bought me a wedding ring there 21 years ago. to my aching heart the stone fell out 3 days ago. I was very sad. But my husband even more so. He is disabled and had several surgeries within the last 4 years . he just simply would not be able to fix my ring ,nor have the funds to replace it. He kept the original receipt from my ring and all the paper work. I took it in today Christmas eve. was honest about the age of my ring, Explained everything to them. In hopes to exchange my ring even if for a much cheaper ring. Well let me Just say Columbia, Missouri Kay's Jewelers has the 2 most awesome Managers ever. They showed true compassion. They both hugged me said they would help. I was thinking they were going to take my ring in trade for a cheaper one .he came back with a beautiful ring in my size that was very expensive way more than I could afford. Then said I could get it for 20.00 . I said yes I would do that. As I went to pay he handed me my original ring back. I know I had to have had the dumbest look on my face. I said don't you have to take my ring back for me to get this one. He looked at me and said no we want you to keep your original ring it has to much sentimental for you to not keep it. Man I started balling. And everyone in Kay's Jewelers was hugging me and telling me Merry Christmas. Please spread this all over so people will know there is still love and compassion even with big Companies. Its not always about money. They pretty much gave me a very expensive ring for little of nothing. And they did not have to. They did it out of love , compassion, and very good costumer service. They even wrapped it so my husband could give to me...
Read moreVery disappoint that I spent the first month of being married without my wedding ring. Also with this stores customer service and lack of communication between employees. I absolutely love my wedding ring. I live roughly 45 minutes from the store which and I am have been constantly driving back and forth for my ring. I had my wedding band fused to my engagement ring which took 2 weeks to get back. Once I got it back realized the next day that one of the prongs that hold the diamond in we’re missing. I had to make another trip to the store because they failed to do an inspection after my ring arrived from being sent off. The associate told me they would express ship my ring but since he manager wasn’t there she would talk to him when he got back. Called her later and she said to expect my ring back in by the end of the week, so I went back at the end of the week. I made the 45 minute trip to see if my ring was in. I spoke to a different associate who made me feel like an idiot for thinking they could get it back that’s fast, even though the other associate told me that’s when it would be in. She told me to expect it to take 2 weeks even though it was supposed to be expressed! I called back on a Wednesday and my ring still was not in, so they said they would write my name down to receive a phone call when the ring arrived. They ring finally came in 3 days a whole 3 days shy of the two weeks. Which isnt much of an express to me. The next day I got an email saying the ring was in, but I never received a phone call. I almost wish we would of just done a local shop and not messed with a big company. But after so many of my family members using Kay we felt we could trust them. Any time your ring is sent off be ready to be without...
Read moreWould’ve left 0 stars if possible. I was in the store a week ago on Nov. 11th. I’m genuinely not a person to ever leave a bad review for a business or to complain, but the experience I had was absolutely terrible. My fiancé got my engagement ring a year ago and we have the lifetime warranty on it, so it’s supposed to be brought in every year to be inspected and cleaned. I brought it in and waited to be helped and when I was waited on, the person who helped me (bald man in his early 30’s maybe, wearing a green velvet suit) brushed me off and said that he would “quickly clean it” because they were super super busy… which yes, there were other people being waited on and looking around, but by no means was it so busy that they didn’t have time to inspect my ring. And even so, I would have been more than happy to wait. He took it away, dipped it in something, ran it under the faucet, and wiped it off, all within less than a minute. Then he brought it back to me and tried to immediately turn away. I stopped him and asked him if this was all that was needed for my warranty, and he said “As I said earlier, we’re extremely busy so you can sign off that it was cleaned and we’ll update it in the system later.” He appeared extremely annoyed and my ring looked the exact same as it did when I brought it in. I know that the ring is supposed to actually be inspected and not just cleaned (if you could even call what he did cleaning it), so I’m very unhappy with the way I was treated. My fiancé paid for this warranty so I’m upset that this man acted like I was such a bother. We’ll unfortunately have to take our business elsewhere...
