First off, I just want to start off by saying I have been a loyal tjmaxx customer for many years, and have always enjoyed shopping with this company. I shop here so much that I even have a credit card with this company. I have never had any issues with tjmaxx for all the years that I have shopped there, UNTIL TODAY. Never in my life have I ever been SO disrespected by a store employee. Their cashier by the name of SHARON, tried to enforce false return policy rules to me, and even tried to accuse me of stealing just because I was not able to find the original receipt for an item that I purchased. SHARON tried to tell me that it was āmandatory policyā that I needed the tags along with a receipt in order to return an item. If you look on the tjmaxx official website and read their return policy page, you will see that her statement is completely false. I had the physical and email copy of the return receipt with me, I just didnāt have original receipt because my boyfriend paid for it with his card, so I never got an electronic receipt through email like i normally do. BUT, BY THE GRACE OF GOD, I ended up being able to find the original physical copy of the receipt in my car⦠AFTER I already drove 30 minutes home!! But once I realized SHARON lied to me about the return policies, I called the store and spoke with Jose (who was a witness of what happened) and asked him why I was turned down when that shouldāve never happened. After speaking with Jose, he confirmed the store policies with me and told me I could come back and exchange my item like I should have been able to from the start. SO, after all that, I had to drive another 30 minutes back to that store just to complete my exchange and report all of this to the manager (Trey, which told me that he was also going to report this to the other manager, Gianna, about this situation). I no longer feel comfortable to shop at this store anymore because of SHARON. Now I have a fear of running into her again, and her trying to accuse me of stealing AGAIN. And I, nor ANYONE ELSE should have to feel this way when walking into a store. I will be following up on this with tjmaxx and management to make sure that this situation gets ESCALATED IMMEDIATELY, so that no one else has to experience the disrespect and discrimination I just endured today. And sadly, I donāt think I am the first person SHARON has done this to because I see in the previous reviews about a month ago, someone named Brendan had a similar experience to me and posted it on here as well. Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy daughter was humiliated in a store in Columbiana Station, Columbia, South Carolina! I am furious! I sent her a coat I had bought in Huntington, WV. The coat was too small. I told her to take it back to the TJ Max where she lived and exchange it for one that fit. She walks in & asks to exhange the coat for one that fit...Note: she did not ask for money back! She explained she did not have a reciept with her...(I have the reciept by the way) This manager proceeded the accuse my daughter of stealing the coat and attempting to pass it off for TJMax's to get the money...which she wasnt asking for in the first place! She spoke to her in a very degrating and disrespectful manner. Now my daughter doesn't have a coat that fits and refuses to go back in the store..The manager"s description is a black lady with short hair. I loved TJ Max until now.....My God, what is wrong with the customer service here! My daughter called me crying....Something needs to be done!!!! ...
