I’m going to be completely honest. I never write reviews because I feel they are a waste of my time but this place calls for an exception. Before I begin my story let me start by saying. To my better judgement I bought a lot from this store, and spent a lot of my money and time in this store and to no avail. About a year ago I was with a friend and someone he brought along, someone who I was not familiar with, I suggested we go in the store because I wanted to look around and maybe buy something, AS I USUALLY DID. Without me or him knowing she stole something. Neither of us knew that she was that kind of person or would do something so apprehensive. Well later on that afternoon, well after we had left the store two cop cars come barreling down the streets of downtown Columbus and me and my friend were laughing about what someone must have done. Little did we know that our friend has stolen something. The cops pulled me and my friend over there and asked her if she had stolen something, then accused me also of being an accomplice to her ill actions. I was honestly offended. Being familiar with law enforcement protocol I made sure my name was well out of the issue because I had no reasoning or intention to steal from this store. What the owner did not realize was that he embarrassed me in the middle of downtown Columbus. It goes without saying that I am from a very favorable family and would never do something like what he was having these deputies accuse me of. I have never been more baffled in my life. If I could take everything I ever owned back to this shop I would. I refuse to step foot near it and have not gone inside of it in over a year, and refuse to let any of my friends (who could happily by anything in this store) visit it as well. I make sure I let anyone that goes near this establishment know the way I was wronged by it’s owner, who I believe is nicknamed Moto. The stores items are not worth my reputation being tarnished. My entire family as well as I have happily taken our business elsewhere, and I would be much obliged to suggest other jewelers in Columbus who certainly know how to handle matters such as this and treat loyal customers with the respect they deserve. I come from a family that has always worked in retail and THIS is certainly not how it...
Read moreI can not come remotely near explaining to you how large of a selection this treasure chest has to offer. This business is hard to describe as a store, or location, or place... It is an entity. There is so much here it literally engulfs you, and the people that host the experience (the people that work there) know what they have, know what they are talking about, and love to help you find your way through all the endless inventory in here. There is so much you can't simply browse, you'll be there for days. With all that out of the way, I will comment on the pricing which is usually a touchy subject, it's on point. If you are looking for 5 dollar pocket pals, they are there. If you are looking for a 80 pound amethyst cluster because you got it like that, they have that too. They have everything from the simple to the most exotic you could imagine, and they don't mind answering any questions you may have about origin or history at all. They love it all just as much as you do, legit. I saw specimens there that I was seriously blown away by. The funniest part about this review, my wife and I didn't even know we were going into a "rock shop" because it wasn't really advertised as one. We honestly thought it was like an antique store/jewelry store. In case this review seems off, check my other reviews, I've been all over the country reviewing rock shops and what not and this one really did impress me. It really impressed me a lot. I'm not joking about the pricing either, things are priced as they honestly should be. They are not priced by what Tic Toc says is popular right now (shots fired at trendy rock shop owners). I didn't get a chance to run these pics through any filters or anything before I uploaded them so they are just raw shots, but if anything it should give you a simple idea of the sheer volume of what is inside this place. If you are near this place, go there, and go there early because you won't...
Read moreI really like this place and feel like they offer a cool variety of trinkets and jewelry. However, my issue was when my husband (then fiancée) and I bought my engagement ring from there and I fell in love with a blue topaz ring, and he found this beautiful jade band that he picked to be his wedding band. The ring I picked for myself was too small, which is not a problem, so I paid to have it resized to fit my finger, which we were originally quoted it would take about a week or two and that their guy would pick it up that day. When I went to go check on the ring a couple of weeks later, it had not even been sent off yet and I was told that their ring sizer was busy, which I understand is not their fault. I just wish they would have let me know it would take longer (they had my phone number to call me when the ring was ready for me). I was able to pick up my ring almost two months after being quoted it would take a couple weeks and I absolutely love it! The only thing I dislike is that it is slightly too big which again is not the store's fault. One other gripe that I had was that my husband's jade ring snapped in half after he was taking it off. He is always very careful with his ring so I do not know why it snapped when he took it off but it was saddening, especially since he's only had it for about two months. It snapping could be totally unrelated to where we got it from, but I just wanted to mention it in case anyone was looking at getting as jade ring from there. Again, I do enjoy this place, but would like to talk about the frustrations I had. I do also want to mention that just because I was frustrated with my service does not mean that you should avoid this place, in fact I think everyone should check it out at least once if you...
